so my next trip will my my first trip alone with my four year old and my longest sort of regretting that now :rotfl2:

i am thinking of booking transfers now but im not sure what to do. would you prefer to pay more for a service you are sure of or less and see how it goes.

i can go for a private shuttle which i usually do which is the most expensive

i can go for a shared shuttle which is cheaper but i have never done this before

i could go for the bus which again is cheaper but seems like a lot more hassle

the main reason i am so worried about all this lol is that since its my first time out of the country with ash alone i dont want anything to go wrong. i would panic lol. help lol

will ash have her buggy with her Sonya? If so, then I honestly think the VEA would be a hassle for you, as you'd need to load your suitcase(s) and buggy onto the bus then get you and Ash seats.

I'm guessing you don't want to take the TGV, so that leaves the shuttles. Having done both the private and shared shuttle, I'd say go shared - we paid shared price for one adult and 2 kids and didn't share at all, it was brill :goodvibes. Its exactly the same process, you book it in advance, they are there at the exit with your name on a board, they take you to your vehicle and put your luggage in for you. Same when they pick you up at your hotel for the return journey. If you do have to share the vehicle, the company will tell you (and for the journey from your hotel back to CDG they'll inform you in advance so you know exactly what time they want to pick you up at your hotel).

Sonya we have used the shared shuttle before and found it to be just as good as a private shuttle.

The driver was waiting for us in the usual place, we had to wait about 10 mins for the other family to arrive but we were dropped off first at our hotel.

I think this would be easier for you and Ash rather than the bus and don't worry you will both have a great time on your own

i second the shared shuttle. we booked this twice and both times were the only ones in the taxi :thumbsup2

you'll have a great time with ash on your own :goodvibes plenty of quality mammy daughter time

thanks everyone. ↲Elaine yes i am definitely taking the buggy. ↲I will have a look at shared shuttles when i get home from work

I went alone last year with dd - but of course she was 10 and well able to walk onto the VEA - that's what we used, but I think with suitcase and young child it could be difficult if there was a queue at the bus stop as some people really have no manners and don't know how to queue orderly - pushng others even children out of the way! So I would agree with the private shared transfer.

I was dreading going alone and worried I would get lost, be at the wrong terminal etc etc - but it is amazing you develop great confidence and seem to instinctively know where to go :thumbsup2 - can't dare show the child you are worried sick lol!

Hope you have a lovely time! :wizard:

I always book shared shuttles and as yet we never have shared :confused3
I've also always booked with RS transports but noticed a query on another thread about them not answering emails, so not sure what's happened there, as they've always got back to me straight away.
They did keep us waiting about 1/2 hour at cdg last trip, but the driver did ring me to say he was running late. :goodvibes
