Transatlantic - How rough are the seas?

Was on the EBTA in 2013, there were days at sea where the Atlantic looked like a mirror.. No waves what so ever.. One of the best sunsets I've ever seen was on one of those nights. It was weird to me to think about being basically in the middle of nowhere.. During the day, no other ships in sight and no contrails from airplanes.. At night, no lights from ships anywhere to be seen, and no lights from planes in the sky.. Heck really didn't even see any satellites at night.. Very peaceful though..
I was on that cruise, and we had one rough day between Madeira and Gibraltar (I think).

Agree about the TA last May being rough between Oslo and Copenhagen. No one really noticed until they warned us after the show when we went to stand up to return to our rooms. I was a bit sad as it was our last night at sea and it was too rolling to really do anything more that night, pretty ironic as crossing the Atlantic was smooth sailing. Pardon the pun.

Does the TA cruise ever get boring with so many days at sea ?

And how come u can do a 15 night TA cruise cheaper than some of the 4 night cruises lol

I was never bored. So many different things to do :) The cost per night is one of the perks to doing the transatlantic :)

Repositioning cruises are often cheaper per day than round trip cruises. There are a lot of people who don't want to fly into one airport and home from another - especially if one of those airports is in another country.

We were never bored, it was the first holiday where I've ever had a chance to relax.
There's so much to do but you've also got the chance to enjoy doing nothing other than enjoy the sunshine or sit in the pool & watch a Disney Classic! Not a bad way to spend an afternoon really . You could have an absolutely full itinerary though, it's up to you how you spend your time.

For those who have sailed transatlantic EB or WB, what are the temperatures typically like? Does it get too cold to use the pool? Is one warmer than the other? TIA!

As already noted, it can vary. We did a WBTA in 2010. In September (typically a "rougher" seas time), and the ocean was like glass every day. The worst day we had was when we crossed out of the Mediterranean proper into the Atlantic. But, other than that, gorgeous, sunny cruising.

I was on that one too :)
I tend to get motion sick and it was a great cruise.
