My chidren (ages DS13, DS15 and DD18), plus my DD's frien (19) and I were there last night too. All of the kids with me really liked it and they all said they would go again.
We take the kids to see the Radio City Christmas show just about every year. My DD doesn't like it at all. She goes because she knows its important to me that we all do something together. That being said this year, she had to work on the day we had tickets for it and she wasn't the least bit upset. We wound up taking my niece and she loved it.
So, i was a little nervous about the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert wondering if my DD would like it. My 15 year old and I were excited to go, but the others weren't really that excited. The entire show, my DD sat there with a big smile on her face and she loved it. I, on the other hand was a little disappointed in the first half of the show. I had a hard time understanding half the things they said and when the people were singing, at one point I thought they were singing another language or something. But the second half of the show was amazing. I knew going into the concert that part of the show was them telling a story and I was really looking forward to it. I fell asleep 3 times during the first half!
And, of course, when Steven Tyler came out, that was great.
The good thing is that if they are here next year, my DD can just drive everyone in and I can stay home. I think it was fun because I was with my kids and we ate at the Marriot before the show. The lights were amazing.
I think everyone should try it once.
