I am going on the WBTA voyage on the Disney Magic in a little over 2 weeks. I hate to fly. The thought of flying for that long almost gives me an anxiety attack.

We are leaving from Philly at 6:30ish PM EST and arrive in Barcelona at 8:30ish AM. I know that we are getting one meal on the flight. I'm going to take a Xanex before we leave to help calm my nerves and probably another one during the flight at some point.

When I flew to Australia in 2000 (a much longer flight, I know), they served us dinner literally as soon as we got up in the air to help us get used to Sydney time. (We flew out of LA.) Do you think that on the flight we will get a dinner or a breakfast? I don't remember if it says it on our reservation or if it just says one meal was being served.

Any advice to help calm my nerves would be wonderful!

Thank in advance! :)

Yes, eastbound you get drink service right after takeoff, then dinner service and then an hour or so before landing a breakfast or breakfast-type snack. Barcelona is great! Don't overdue the Xanex and try to get about 3 hours sleep on the way over so that you can stay awake that first day over there. If you made it to Australia, Europe is easy!

PS: Westbound you should get Lunch and then a snack.(often ice cream!)

Thank you so much for the information! I'm planning on sleeping (hopefully) on the plane because I do want to enjoy Barcelona because we are only there for a day before we board the Magic. The way home is a breeze for me because it's a cruise - no flying involved...until we get to FL! :rotfl2:

Thanks again for the info!
