We did this last year and I don't recall anyone getting weighed. I agree with Dug720, if there are any limitations they are usually noted on the website, but you might want to call or check once onboard, just to verify.

Anyone go directly through the tour operator, rather than DCL? DCL has this excursion priced at over $600 for a family of four!!! Yikes!!

We booked through DCL, it's a long drive to get there from the port and I would not want to arrange that on my own.

This is exactly why we booked through DCL. I figured I could probably save a little money doing it on our own but being so far away from the ship, and in Jamaica which doesn't have the best reputation, I did not want to chance that. The security and guarantee of getting back on time was worth the cost.

We just arrived and paid on site. We arranged private transportation prior to sailing.

Did you happen to catch the RCCL (and Celebrity) is NOT stopping at Falmouth for "this season" and "next year" because of concerns? And they put up a lot of money to assist with the building of the terminal and port area of Falmouth.

Yes, I heard that. I imagine that Falmouth will lose a lot of money. Maybe they will make improvements?

I see that there is time at the end for lunch, infinity pool and waterslide. Did you have enough time to do everything you wanted?

Yep, lots of time, the jerk chicken was great but if you can't handle spicy foods get the sauce on the side.

As pax that book excursions outside of DCL, we had mega flexibility. We escaped the vessel prior to the cattle call and were at destination well prior to the madness. ( Mega buses from many ships) Best $$$ ever spent. We don't do well in cattle calls. Nor buses.

Although I will admit DCL has some really cool/great buses. So do fret about DCL buses.
Seen them. Been in them. Rode in them, etc. They are Mini buses.
Like 1/2 the size of a US full size coach bus.
Hard to explain.
Nothing like it in the states.

We had booked an excursion once with DCL in some port, .. Never again. Ex; Meet at 7am in an area aboard. .... wait for everyone. .. One hour min... expletives .... Then debark vessel that took an hour for some reason. Perhaps because there were a hundred of us. lol. not ... eek. Then herded out like cattle into the heat. And possible rain/storms. Etc. etc. Shall I go on? Let's not.

Needless to say we have never booked another DCL excursion since. In any port.

At least I admit my lies almost immediately unlike others. ha ha.

Bahamas doesn't count to me. Not Caribbean. Just of FL coast. Different.

I encourage everyone to at least investigate and research private tours in all ports.

Several times (like three) in Grand Cayman we had one other family aboard. IOW; Us 4 pax and another 4 pax
Think about that after you look at the vessel in DCl's promo pic. to the sting rays. Oh my.
