Tranferring points questions

When you transfer points to another member do you require full payment up front first or half? I'll have some points available and I've never done this before so I just wanted to find out what the others do first.

If you don't know the person, and have never rented to them before, I require payment via PayPal. I figure the credit card will kind of protect both of us. Once the points are in someone else's account, you lose control of them, and Disney won't help if you have been scammed. Just beware that there ARE scammers, and they seem like honest renters.
