Train Station Renovation

Has renovation of the MK train station been completed? Will the Christmas tree return to that location? Are benches being returned to the area? I enjoyed the tree at this location more than where it was last year.

The tree will be in the Rose Garden until after the taping of the Christmas parade. Then it will be moved down to the Train station area.

I am so glad to hear this. We have never taken the time to ride the train!! I know--gasp, gasp!! This trip is my sweet DH and I and we had planned to ride this time.

I thought I read here a few weeks ago that they weren't going to put up the tree until after the parade? I read that Disney decided it was too much work to move it so they would just wait to put it up in the first place.

I heard the same thing from a CM friend. But I'm really hoping that it isn't true since I am attending MVMCP in November.

Yes, I'm happy to report that the Train Station is finished.

A WDW engineer told me that they found a good bit of corrosion in the iron work of the station because of dissimiliar metals used during construction and that coupled with the salt air caused the problem.
