Train from Syracuse to Kissimee???

I am just wondering how it works to take the train? When you get to Orlando/Kissimee can you rent a car at the train station? If not how do you get a rental?

Also has anyone taken this particular train trip? What was your experience?
We are traveling with 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 5-13)

Can you bring a cooler onboard with food and snacks?

Is the food on board expensive or even edible?

Have you actually priced out a train trip? I thought from SYR it was just about the same, if not more, to travel via train than air. I am curious on the prices, but it must take a couple of days just to get down there. I know my aunt traveled to FL from SYR and it took 2 days, but I'm not quite sure where she traveled in to.

i just took a train strip from Utica to DC, it was kinda long.... about 8 hours just to DC.....

I would check out Jetblue.com.... they have some pretty good rates..... Also, i cant think of the name of it... but there is a charter company that just started direct routes to orlando (not monroe county airport though).
