train from london airports to St pancras

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew how much the train/tube costs from heathrow or Gatwick to Kings cross? We are a family of four kids aged 4 and 3 - I know they take about 55mins approx but just wondering the cost? As our flights are limited from Ireland and the prices are high for net year already and they can only go up ?

I know the express service from Gatwick into Victoria is pretty pricey as I looked at using it when we were staying at Gatwick airport last year. The slower service should be more reasonable though, if I remember correctly the express service is from Gatwick to Victoria from where you'd have to get the tube whereas there is a slower direct rail service from Gatwick to St Pancras (next door to Kings Cross). If you fly into Heathrow I think you get the train into Paddington then tube to St Pancras.

If you do a dummy booking on the trainline website it will give you an idea of prices but I'm pretty certain you don't have to pay for under 5s.

Are you thinking of flying over from Ireland and taking the Eurostar then? Will that be cheaper for you?

Awh thanks for reply - I went to heathrow and got through to the trainline and looks as thought for about £5 each we can get the tube from heathrow to kings cross - which is a bargain !

We would be cheaper flying from Belfast if we could get the cheapest Eurostar tickets which aren't up yet? As it saves the transfer on the other side? our flights for our dates in March are £440? I am assuming easyjet prices don't go down?

Am very excited though as we are only just back from our July 6day break and have booked another for 5 days in March today As we are going again in the summer we want to make March as cheap as poss !

Gotta love an annual pass - and you fine lot deserve my thanks for that as I would never have bought only for the advice I received on here
