So we still haven't booked our transfers and I was talking to a fella in work last night who is flying to disney today and he is going to take the high speed train from the airport to dlp! He's travelling with his wife and their 4 year old daughter!
I will b travelling with my boys aged 1,5 and 2.5 years and my husband who has mobility problems! We will b taking 3 suitcases and two buggies.

So my question is do u think I'd b mad to get the train? How easy is it to find and how often does it run?

Up until speaking with him last night I was all for booking a private transfer!

I'm so thankful you posted this! I'm very curious myself but felt silly asking. I hope someone happens along to help! :)

I had a look myself the other day, as I think train would be by far the easiest and fastest route from CDG to DLP, however I was shocked at the cost, SNCF website was quoting 17.50 euros per person one way off peak, seemed ridiculously high price for a 9 minute train journey. Particularly when you can come on eurostar from london for as little as 34:50 one way.

There is a guide from Charles De Gaulle airport to disneyland using the train to get there. I found it quite useful. I can't seem to be able to post it though! Search the web for "tvg train from CDG to Disneyland paris" and you'll find it. Just check the train's time table for this route and see if it is convinient for you otherwise if you miss the train and have to wait to get the next one you can use the vea bus which takes up to 45 min to get you there but you can always enjoy the scenery.

Do have a magical trip because after all "there's magic everywhere"! Have fun.

if the TGV times suit my flight landing time, I always prefer the TGV to transfer between CDG and DLP.

However, its not necessarily the cheapest, most convenient, or quickest, method of transfer.

Often a shared shuttle transfer, booked in advance, with rstransports, is cheaper, its definitely more convenient, and it can be quicker, as its an exit gate to hotel door transfer (it typically takes no more than 35 minutes by road transfer with a shuttle).

We do usually take the TGV back from DLP to CDG on our last day, as its quickest (the journey time really is 10 minutes) and if on an off-peak price train, its usually cheapest as well.

raileurope or sncf.fr will show you timetables and prices for the TGV trains for the next 12 weeks or so.

rstransports has its own website, you can get a quote there.

there are other private shuttle companies you can book too, if you are a party of 4 or more that might work out well - try ezyshuttle.com, interprestige, tioshuttle etc etc.

We also have a whole section in the very useful information sticky at the top of the page, titled "travelling to DLP by plane" which has lots of information and useful links.
