Trails End

What is your opinion on Trails End restaurant. I have never eaten there but the menu looks good and also affordable. Have your eperiences been good? Food good for the price?

This restaurant was voted the best deal in WDW. It is buffet style in a rustic setting. We love the breakfast and the dinner isnt bad either.

LOVE Trails End. I've never tried the breakfast but have eaten lunch and dinner there several times over the past couple of years.

Lunch is a GREAT value but dinner has more offerings. I highly recommend the fried chicken and the ribs but avoid the pizza. Blech.

While I do agree that the price is right the food is kind of bland. So, if you like that then you are okay. I don't think we will return.

It's simple home cooking. We love the place for any meal and we have never had a wait in off season. It's a great get a way from the Mk and a quick boat ride over. We love the WL and Trails end is a great place for us to eat when we stay there.
They also have take out that is great for a picnic or a meal back in the room.

We've had dinner a few times and always thought it was very good-and compared to most meals at WDW we thought it was reasonable in price.

We love Trails End!!! We ate there on our last trip in Oct. They have great soups and corn bread along with fried chicken, mac and cheese, chick pot pie, cinnamon crisps, apple crisp, shall I go on! Great comfort foods!!!! Even my picky ds loves it here!! We try to go there at least once a trip! We not only love the food, we love the atmosphere also! I don't think you would be dissapointed, especially with kids!

We loved, loved, loved our breakfast at Trail's End! As has been said, it is simple home cooking. The food was very tasty, in my and my husband's opinion. Pretty well every breakfast food you can think of, including fresh fruit and pastries. They also had lots of beverages to choose from too. Great quality (and quantity) for the price, and the service was some of the best we've had at any restaurant in WDW.

We're really looking forward to eating here at least once on our next trip, and hopefully trying dinner there sometime too. I highly recommend it.

How long does it take to get to Trail's End from WL? Bus or boat?

We went from WL to Trail's End on the boat, and the trip was about 10 minutes, including walking up to the restaurant. This would vary on how long you had to wait for the boat, though.

Also, I believe the WL-FW-MK boat goes from WL to FW to MK in the morning, then switches to FW to WL to MK in the afternoon, so if you were going in the afternoon or evening it would take longer.

You can also walk between them. I would estimate this at about 2 miles (or 3 and a bit km).

I still would recommend boat over bus, though. It saves you from having to switch buses within FW, plus it's just a fun ride.

My In laws are joining us for a day while we are at WDW and Ithought this would be a good place to eat. FIL has never been to WDW and Fort Wilderness would be a great place for him to see, they are retired and live in their Winnibago full time. Usually spending winters in FL. Down home cookin is just what we are all into, everything sounds great.

it is a quick boat ride to FW from WL. the boat dock is a short walk to pioneer hall where trail's end is located. or you can walk there. it is an easy walk.

We like breakfast, but don't really care for lunch or dinner. We found the lunch and dinner items to be sort of boring, bland, and unappetizing - the kind of stuff you might find in a cafeteria or something. I guess we just like more interesting stuff when we're on vacation. It wasn't that it was bad, really, just nothing special.

Love it! We're going there on our next trip (Thanksgiving) Can hardly wait!
