FYI everyone. This is a wonderful buffet dinner, seems to be overlooked. Fried chicken, pulled pork, ribs, Mac & cheese and cornbread out of this world!! Try it. You won't be disappointed. Seems to be always available for reservation. Take boat from Magic Kingdom over. Nice scenery.

I second this! The food is delicious and unlike many of the other buffet options Disney offers, you don't need ADRs! Walk right up and get in within 15 min. I can't say enough fabulous things! The cast members treat you like family plus it's so close to MK that you can hop over and spend the night viewing the parade and fireworks after dinner :)

I was looking at the menu, and I think we will be trying this in August. I love taking the boat rides all over. I find them relaxing. And it will be a new place I haven't tried before.

Is it located close to the boat stop?

Yes, come off the dock and you will be looking at it just over to the right. Has playground equipment out front and a porch with rocking chairs.
You can go over to camping forum and find a few threads on it if you like.

We stay at campground now, and ate there twice. Once for breakfast and dinner. Home meal and environment that we Mississippians start to miss and have to look for. :-)

is that the food is so good you never want to stop eating....they have to bring in a forklift to get us out the door lol :)

But seriously, we have eaten breakfast and dinner here in the past week and it is one of your favorites!

Just make absolutely sure it doesn't start thunderstorming while you're there because they close the boat and it is a royal PITA to get back. Also, when we went, we took the boat over, but still had to catch a bus to get through the camp ground to the restaurant.

Not true, the restaurant is located only about 50 yards from the boatlanding. No need for bus.

You may have gotten off at the Wilderness Lodge. There is a boat that runs between the two.

Trail's End is our family's #1 restaurant. And DH and I like to add a nice pitcher of Yeungling to go with the meal.

Does anyone know what time the boat to Fort Wilderness starts running in the mornings?

We'd like to eat at Trails End but have no room for lunch or dinner ADRs. I could possibly make breakfast work if only we could get there!

is $14.99 and Dinner is 24.99. We love going and using our TIW discount!

To get there for breakfast you go to the Kingdom or Contemporary and take the launch. If there is lightening in the area the boats are not going to be operating so you'd have to take the bus from the Kingdom to the front area of FW and then take the internal bus to the settlement (all buses go there so get on the first one you see that says settlement).

Enjoy! They have REAL bacon there too! and Mickey waffles :)

The boats between MK and FW start about 8:30 AM but that could vary based on Extra Magic Hours. Another option is the boats that do the loop between WL, CR and FW, which start operating each day at 6:45 AM. You could monorail to CR then hop on a boat over to FW for a nice breakfast, then take a boat direct to MK.

We absolutely love Trail's End. It is my favorite WDW restaurant. The only problem with breakfast there is you miss out on the BBQ ribs... :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for the tips guys!

Currently staring at my ADR spreadsheet trying to juggle a few things around. Really hope we'll be drinking from mason jar glasses soon!

Count us in! We have never been but is sounds like the perfect place for my DH and family.

It is nice to know that we can probably get in without reservations. We will be going in Feb for my DS's HS band trip and I am going to have to play some of the trip by ear since I don't have specific information right now on what days for what parks.

I can't wait to see him marching down the middle of Main Street U.S.A.!,,
