Trail's End question

I thought I read somewhere (probably here) that you could get a take out meal of fried chicken from Trail's End. Does anyone know if this is so?Am planning a day at Universal to see Harry Potter attraction and would like to bring lunch since we are going to be on the deluxe dining plan. If it is true you can order meal to go please let me know if it can be paid for with table service credits. Thanks.

Yes, they have a take out Chicken dinner. You can also get a large pizza to go. Don't know if they take the credits.

Also, I believe the chicken is now served only at dinner. The current lunch buffet includes cold fried chicken and cold cuts, soup, salad, etc. The dinner buffet is same as it used to be.

The place where you order "to go" is in or by the bar area, I believe.

Really? I kept reading that when they switched over to the soup and sandwiches that the chicken was served cold "picnic style"!! So we avoided lunch after that. Maybe they changed the chicken. It never made since to me anyway (like would it have been last night's leftovers it did sounded weird) but I swear, I kept checking into it and that's what it said.

After I read what you said I looked at AllEars and it is looking more like the old menu. Did it change back? Was the lunch buffet back to the old way? Last two times we were there, Trail's End was soup and sandwiches for lunch and hot buffet only for dinner. I'm soooooo confused.

Anyway we like dinner so that we can do the campfire/movie afterwards.

Back to topic...don't know much about the takeout, but if you are taking the chicken to Sea World wouldn't you have to get it the night before? So my rants about lunch are pretty much irrelevant, sorry.

Thank you so much for this! We have a dinner scheduled in August, but at least I know now that lunch at Trail's End is an option for us again!!!

The Fried Chicken is the best I have ever eaten - Really is my favorite!!
