Trail's End Morning Reservations Hard to Get?

Is the Trail's End Breakfast Buffet around 7:30a to 8:30a-ish time a tough reservation to nab at 180 + 10 ?

From what I've seen in many dining reports, Trail's End often has day before (or even same day) availability.

We got same day reservations on December 30th. I was disappointed in the food though. Most everything on the buffet was cold.

It's not hard to get
We have had great food every time we go for both breakfast and dinner

We had no problem getting an 8:30am ADR in October. Made the ADR two days before. Great food, great service.

Our experience was the same, and they just didn't seem to re-fill items very quickly. We also had really bad service. Such a shame because everybody else seems to rave about this place.
