I asked this over on the Restaurant board, and was sent here in the hopes I'd get more opinions :)

I've seen a lot of talk about the breakfasts and dinners, but I'd love to hear some reviews of the lunch entrees! I'm planning on walking over from WL one day and wanted to try Trail's End. I'm not into buffets, so the a la carte doesn't bother me. Thanks!

I have had the Pulled Pork sandwich and the chicken and waffles...both were very good! And the bacon wrapped jalapeno app is yummy too!

1) The Puller Pork sandwich is decent.
2) The fish IS NOT.
3) We prefer to eat lunch elsewhere.
. . . breakfast buffet is very good
. . . dinner buffet is well above average for comfort food
. . . the ala carte lunch can easily be skipped
4) Since most TS luncheon prices are close to each other , do "The Wave" at CR for luncheon.

Huge Fort fan here, love love their breakfast and their dinner is my fav but stay far far away from the lunch. We tried lunch on our last trip and was very disappointed. I'm honestly not sure how they can do such a fantastic job on breakfast/dinner and lunch be completely opposite.

By a $2 package of hotdogs, you will be much more satisfied...

I guess that says a lot!

We love the Fort, and have had Dinner a couple times at Trails End and love that too. Never had an occasion for lunch or even breakfast there yet. I guess Lunch sounds like a not so good choice.

We have eaten there many times before for breakfast and dinner...but we have tried lunch once and it was fine. We had angus burgers and banana pudding in a mason jar for dessert! Service was good and my children liked it too... I guess it depends what you order.

Wow, big difference in opinion! I guess that's probably true of most restaurants, though. I really appreciate everyone's input, thank you!

I agree with you aVastGrl about differing opinions being the norm for most restaurants. It does seem though that all who have responded to this thread agree that the breakfast and dinner are very good. My family considers them both to be one of the best table service meals available. Due to being in the parks most days during lunch time, we have not tried the lunch menu.

I love breakfast and dinner, including the take-out for both, but haven't tried lunch. The offerings are different and the options didn't seem all that appealing.

Now if they offered the fried chicken or the biscuits and gravy I'd be all over it :)

I'm in the same boat, as I haven't had the chance to try the lunch yet ... may give it a shot this October though.

I am not a fan of buffets at all ... yet I still love the Trail's End breakfast, and especially dinner. The staff is amazing and although it sounds stupid, I can't get enough of the baked potato bar ... pulled pork and mac/cheese + potato = WIN !
