Never been. What is it like? Is it comparable to Whispering Canyon Skillet?

This is not correct. Trails End re-opened back in July of 2023 and it is no longer a buffet. The last time we ate there was when it was still a buffet and we really enjoyed it, we thought it was one of the better buffet's at WDW. Here is their lunch/dinner menu

Our family thought that the food at Whispering Canyon was nothing special.

We did the fried chicken family meal - chicken, 2 sides and cornbread. Got our food and ate at one of the picnic tables outside. The food was good, and we enjoyed watching the activity in the area on a nice, cool evening.

The old buffet was one of the best values on property. I feel the same about the current fried chicken meal, and it's good. Don't forget about the strawberry shortcake!

We just had the family chicken meal 2 weeks ago. We camped there and brought it back to the camper to eat.
We thought it was good. It was a lot of food for the 2 of us. We actually had it for 2 meals.
