Hi everyone.
I was wondering what peoples' experiences were at the Trail's End Buffet. I've heard both good and bad things. I'm staying with my wife, inlaws and 2 YO daughter at the FW campgrounds.

we are interested mostly in breakfast, but I'd like to know about lunch and dinner as well.

One other thing...I heard its hard to find....Where EXACTLY is it?

Thanks all!!:hippie:

We went for dinner on 10/29 before we did the Haunted Hayride. We absolutely loved it...it was probably our best meal at WDW. They didn't have a huge selection, but what they had was very good. If I remember correctly, they had ribs, fried chicken, chicken and biscuits (which I loved!), mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, AMAZING cornbread (gosh that stuff was good!), a pretty good salad bar, and a decent selection of cookies and brownies for dessert. We were on the dining plan, so I didn't pay too close attention to the price, but my understanding is that it is one of the cheapest buffets at WDW.

As for the location, all I remember is that it is right beside the Hoop Dee Do revue place. It seems like it was down a little road. We had a little trouble finding it because it was pitch black when we went and there was not a lot of lighting. However, if you go before dark, I would think that it wouldn't be too hard to find. Just remember that you need have to go up to the Settlement depot if you are taking the internal bus.

Hope this helps!

We've done breakfast and dinner on recent trips. ADR's are only needed at the very busiest days, not normally needed IMO. Breakfast has a wide variety (same with supper) and the service was always good. Trail's End has the cheapest buffet meals on the property. I would recommend it.

It isn't hard to find at all, IMO. If you are coming on a boat from CR or WL or MK, get off at the landing, walk up past the beach, and it's in the big building in front of you (Pioneer Hall) where Hoop Dee Doo is as well (an all-u-can-eat dinner show). Pioneer Hall is in between the bus drop-off and the boat launch; It's got signs and EVERYTHING.

It isn't fine dining but that's not what you come to FW for. Come for the campfire, the sing-a-long, the movies, the log cabin atmosphere, the fresh air, and the MK fireworks over the lake. We bring our camper to FW so we naturally recommend it highly!

My family loves to eat at the Trail's End. We find the selection at dinner to be enough for all of us to have just what we want. We never go away feeling hungry that's for sure.:rotfl2:

We ate there after checking into our cabin last year, and we can't wait to go back! It was good comfort food, they even had fabulous chili! The waitresses were so sweet to our dd's! It's now a "must do" for us!:goodvibes

We enjoy eating at Trail's End and have had lunch and dinner there. We have always enjoyed our food and have had good service. We feel it is one of the better deals at Disney.

we went to TE for breakfast one morning during a trip last summer. all in all i'd say we enjoyed it. both the food and the service were good - and the value can't be beat anywhere else on WDW property. the 'ambience' was just a little different than what we're accustomed to - say, at the Crystal Palace (our hands-down favorite).....but then, that's what gives TE it's appeal...

We went for breakfast on our last trip. It was well worth the money and time spent. If you will be at FW you are definatley going to enjoy this restaurant. We took advantage of driving to FW from POP and taking the boat over to MK for the day. Our waiter was extremely friendly and no one's in a rush at Trails End. Very relaxing and good meal!

We try and each lunch here every trip....it is a great value and the food is good. I LOVE the cornbread........

We usually eat here our last day because we have no room to go back to so the boat ride over and relaxed pace is a good break from the parks.

Both breakfast and dinner are wonderful. We haven't had lunch there yet, but my understanding is that it is the same as dinner, jut more expensive. It is a great value no matter which meal you eat there. There are alot of great selections.

:thumbsup2 We had dinner there in October 07. We liked it a lot. There are not a ton of choices. But we wlaked out full none the less. Comfort food is the work. The chili and fried chicken were very good and the other choices were also good. Wish they had a few more desserts to choose from. The kids ate the pizza and colored (with pages they provided) the entire meal.
