I'm trying to decide where we should eat for our last night in WDW (Saturday, Sept 15). It will be me, dh, and our kids ages 5,5, almost 4.
We're currently booked at Whispering Canyon Cafe. The menu sounds good, and I think the kids and dh would like the "hi-jinks". I'm sure they'd love the Bottomless Milkshake. The one downside is one of my twins doesn't like barbuque--which cuts out the child's skillet for her at least. I don't know if it will bother her if the rest of us have the skillet, and she just has a cheeseburger or mac and cheese.
Anyway, I'm now thinking of switching to the Trail's End Buffet, just so we can check out Fort Wilderness. I think the kids would like the petting zoo, and I would like to walk along the swamp walk. Also we could maybe time it so we could do the Chip and Dale campfire sing-along. I'm considering having us stay in the FW cabins for our next trip (not until Jan 2011--but hey I like to plan ahead
), and this would be a great time just to check it out. Also it being a buffet would give the kids a bigger variety to choose from (the kids menus are somewhat limiting).
For those of you who have eaten at both WCC and Trail's End, how do they compare? Would you pick one over the other? Is Trail's End worth it just to check out Fort Wilderness?
Thanks!
Kelly
