Has anyone done this place for dinner? I'd love to hear what anyone has to say and/or anyone's experiences. I'm thinking about it for our next trip (which is 512 or so days away but hey, who's counting...LOL)

The first question I would ask is where are you staying? If not at Fort Wilderness, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to eat there. The food is good and the atmosphere fun but certainly nothing special to come from one of the other resorts (maybe the Wilderness Lodge). We ate there when we stayed in the cabins and had a very nice meal. Afterwards we walked down to the beach area and watched the fireworks from the Magice Kingdom. I enjoyed the family restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge better and would recommend that over this restaurant.

We ate there for the first time this December, and to be honest, was one of our nicest nights. We walked through the campground and then started hopping on and off the busses to the 'best lights' according to the drivers.
Oh yea, the food at Trails End...........it was ok. Price wasn't bad, nothing to write home about, but all in all, had a nice evening there just chillin'.
You can get over to Wilderness Lodge and catch their boat to Fort Wilderness or just drive over, park in the general parking lot and catch the bus there. Wonderful, efficient bus system. Would I do that again if it hadn't been Christmas and all the decorations by the campers displayed? Think so, like I said, nice eveing just chillin' getting away from all the madness of the crowds.

DW and I ate there in Oct 07 for the 1st time. It was great the server was super, and the food was super toooooo. We are heading back to WDW in May 08 and have already ADR for them. Many of our friends have eaten there. They told us about it. We took the boat from the MK and then took the bus to Epcot. The price is right and the food was super. :woohoo:

This was not a planned dinner and turned out to be our fav. It was so relaxing! We took the boat from MK to the campground and had a great dinner. Then we were planning on taking the boat back to MK but a Hoop-De-Doo Review had just got out and the line was so long we took the other boat to the contemporary and then monorailed over to MK.

We ate there for dinner for the first time last September and loved it.

We enjoyed it back in October. But as a previous poster said it is quite a trek from other places on property. We took the bus over, butwould recommend taking the boat. It is a nice realxing ride and the boat dock is not far from the restaurant. And they are one of the few places on property that serve sweet tea!
