Trails End Buffet at FW

I have a couple questions I hope some of you can help me with. I have seen the menu of foods that are available at this dinner buffet. I noticed it says pasta, but they are not specific. Can someone tell me what kind of pasta dishes are available? I'm also interested to know if anyone can tell me how crowded it is a soon as it opens for dinner at 4:30. We are thinking about having a larger group meet there for dinner the night before the marathon. And this was one place on site that we didn't need to have PS's for that could hold us all in the same time/area. Do you think this will work?

It shouldnt be to crowded. I ate there in October and don't remember what kind of pasta they had. I can tell you that the food is very good and we eat there at least 2x's every trip. Try askikn in the campig forum.

I think it would be a great choice. I have never seen a big crowd there early in the evening and they have quite a few big tables. As for the pasta...there is always mac and cheese and then another pasta dish that varies each night....we had a great penne with sun dried tomates and grilled chicken there in Nov, but it varies nightly. I do not recall pasta being the main stay of the dinner buffet....so if everyone is trying to carb load before the race, you might try spoodles or someplace like that.

My suggestion is, go as soon as it opens so they can arange seating for you and your party.Even if its not busy, you will have a short wait.We had 18 of us. We were seated at two tables side by side.As for the pasta question,I'm sorry I dont remember the pasta and we eat there almost every stay.I do remember mac and cheese. Is this the pasta they are referring too?

On the menu it say pasta and mac and cheese- so I was thinking that there must be oter pasta dishes as well. Is there some king of macaroni salad in the salad area of the buffet?
