Trails End at Fort Wilderness

Hi!

Need help on finding the best route to Fort Wilderness from MK and MGM. We have APs so we will have access to WDW transportation system. We are debating having lunch there one or two days and letting the kids enjoy the atmosphere and animals. Any tips and thoughts are appreciated.

Take boat that goes to Wilderness Lodge then on to Fort Wilderness, short walk from dock to Trails End.

I wonder if the boat that goes from MGM to Epcot travels on to Wilderness Lodge? I have only used it to travel between the two parks.

The boat that is in the MGM area doesn't goto the seven seas lagoon. The only way is to take a bus the Fort Wilderness and then transfer to one of the internal busses at FW.

Or if you have a lot of time, there's a lovely path from WL to FW that ends right at the barn and petting zoo.

And then there's the campfire at night too!

If I'm not mistaken the MGM studios bus will drop you off in the rear of Fort Wilderness then it's only a short walk to Trails End thus eliminating the need for the internal transportation.

Whow! Thanks for the great info guys! We are almost through with planning our "itinerary" and this will help us tie up the loose ends.
