I agree with the PP - it is a nice place to spend a dinnertime away from the park-side madness. I like the food too, and yes, it's not fancy (no prime rib, no chocolate-covered pastries with mickey ears, no steamed asparagus...) but it's consistently good and it is all-you-can-eat for a good price.
At least at dinner it is, I've read that they've switched lunch over to an a la carte menu rather than a buffet.
We usually go for dinner, get over to Fort Wilderness late in the afternoon, hang out a little and then head in for Trail's End dinner and usually end up at the campfire movie after that.
