trail's end at fort wilderness

is it worth a special trip there to eat ??
if so.........which is better lunch or dinner ??

if so.. what is the easiest way to get there from PFQ ??

If I were you, I wouldn't make a special trip. First off, if you're not staying at Ft. Wilderness and are relying on WDW transportation to get there, it's a major league hassle, especially seeing that you need to transfer from WDW transportation to Ft. Wilderness' internal buses to get to the restaurant. Secondly, if you drive, you can't park at Trail's End. You have to park outside of the campground and again, take the internal bus transportation. and third, and IMO, most important, the spread at Trail's End is nothing to write home about. We set up ADRs to eat there a couple weeks ago and left after without eating after we checked out the place. There are sooo many better options to eat at Disney, I wouldn't waste my time.

We made a special trip over by boat from MK for lunch on our last trip. It was well worth it. It was a nice break from the park and a nice boat ride over.
I would recommend planning it on a day that you'll be going to MK. Do the park for the morning, take a break for lunch at Trails End and go back to finish the park. We found it to be a nice relaxing break. Great service too! (of course, this was in 2003 so things may have changed)
We went for lunch one day and breakfast the very next day, we liked it so much. I can't comment on dinner.
