We have a trip planned for the end of next April, and we are taking our DD, and our 2 DGD, and 1 DGS so space is at a premium in the car with 2 strollers, suitcases, and the normal DVC things we bring with us. We are going to bring our small trailer, (which is the trailer we pull behind our motorcycle) but can be used for a small car trailer also. Our concern is securing the trailer when we are at the hotel, we will be disconnecting the trailer and driving the car back and forth due to the strollers. Does anyone have any insite or helpful suggestions on how to lock up the trailer and secure it. As small as it is we are afraid of it getting stolen. Locking the hitch and such we can do, but it is small enough to lift into the back of a truck etc, so in reality we would like to chain it to something. Thanks for the help. :) Below is a picture....

I doubt disney would allow you to chain it to anything or that there would be anything in the parking garage to chain it too.

To me, the only thing worse than bringing a stroller on a bus, is bringing a stroller on a tram...so I take the bus.

It is an interesting question, and looks like a nice setup. I wish I could offer more help.

You could lock the hub like you said. You could take a wheel off of it. Yes someone could lift it into a truck, but I think anyone motivated enough to steal it that way would also just cut a chain.

You need to speak to the resort to find out what options are allowable there.

I would suggest parking next to a light pole or tree and chaining it up to one. I have chained up my boat at OKW before.

Agree, although I would probably start with DVC Member Services and see if they can direct you to a specific resort manager. If you call the resort blindly, you may get a general rep at the call center who doesn't have any authority one way or another.

On this topic the condo association POS specifically states:

Bicycles, motorcycles, commercial trucks, oversized vehicles and trailers may not be stored on the Condominium Property except in such areas, if any, designated for this purpose.

I don't think they have a hardline stance against all vehicles described above, but you need to find out about specific policies for that resort. For instance, I've heard in the past that guests at Old Key West were required to park an RV over a Port Orleans French Quarter.

It's so small. Could you get a roof topper thing instead? Seems like it would hold about the same amount. Or rent a stroller (double or 2 singles) from an offsite company and save the car space for other things. JMHO, but then again, I like to travel light.

I was just going to mention this, I think I've seen your boat at OKW! :rotfl: I've also seen a small trailer with a parking permit on it! Ask the resort!

NICE trailer!

Let us know the dates of your trip, and especially if you will be doing any late-night EMH's. I could use a trailer like that!
