I just can't imagine EVER thinking that this was the only option. I don't understand how someone could think things are that hopeless? If anyone has any "extra" prayers, would you mind sending some this way? Jody (the mom) was critically wounded and they really aren't sure if she will live. Which, brings up another question for me. If this (God forbid) were me, would I even WANT to live if my whole family died? Very, very sad.

I am so sorry to read such a tragic story. I'm not offering any excuses, but despondency and despair has a way of driving people to do terrible things. It's a shame the man didn't have the where-with-all to seek out professional help. I will keep the family in my prayers.

Karla...I agree...Im not sure Id want to live after such a terrible event, life would seem so empty and pointless for me. I hope she finds the strength and a reason within herself to go on.
