TRAGEDY! Mythos is closed

Okay, okay, I'm overreacting.

Mythos isn't closed permanently but it's not open every day and in my book that's a tragedy -- especially when I'm in Orlando!

I was too freaked out to get the exact dates but from now through the end of the month, Mythos will be open on a somewhat erratic schedule.

I was told that when the park isn't busy "we don't need all the restaurants." So you close the best one?

Call (407) 224-9255 before you make a special trip expecting lunch at Mythos.

15th-17th: 11:30-3
18th-19th: closed
20th: 11:30-3
21st-25th: 11:30-7
26th-30th: 11:30-9
31st: 11:30-11:30
1st: 11:30-5pm
2nd-3rd: 11:30-3

5th-7th: 11:30-3
8th-10th: closed

...and called back. And it's not as bad as I first thought.

Mythos will be closed the 12th, 13th, 18th and 19th.

It's open the rest of the month and after Christmas, when the parks are open til 10, Mythos will be taking ressies until 8 or 8:30.

Sorry to be such an alarmist. I'm sure my fellow Mythos-maniacs will understand.

No really, I'm sure Mythos will be open 7 days a week when the busy period comes around.

We can always get The Second Cook to cook us a private meal.

Time to make New Years Ressies at MYTHOS. I imagine the last seating is at 11:30 on 12/31 but the eating will continue into the NEW YEAR

Thank you for the heads up. With so many people giving this the thumbs up we will have to try it. We have preferred the food at Universal/IOA over the Disney parks food the last 2 years. It is also so much cheaper with our AP's.

Looking forward to trying this one.

BTW, I had a fantastic meal on Thankgiving with my very big family. I asked for secondcook but I guess he was a *bit* frazzzled oh I mean busy! Great service from Karin as usual.

Is there a popular dish? I would think the Balsamic Chicken is since it's been on the menu since day 1.

Don't know if the Corvina is still on the menu, but if it is and you like fish GET IT. It was amazingly delicious!
Then there's the warm, gooey, chocolate banana cake!

The shrimp risitto (if it is still on the menu) YUM. DS loves the chicken wrap. I think Ialso had samon that was very good. What ever it was was good, but not as good as the shrimp risitto.

How far in advance do they accept reservations?

When we have gone there for lunch, we have just walked in with no problem being seated right away. For dinner, we made reservations in the morning for that night without problem. They do sometimes have private parties, so it's better to check it out in advance.

We'll be there during a busy holiday so we want to make sure we have reservations. I'm sure every restaurant will be busy so we'd like to plan ahead. How far in advance do the dining places at Citywalk and Mythos take a reservation? I really don't want to wait until the day we want to go.

I think you can make reservations 60-90 days in advance.

I just called a number I found for dining and even though I also thought it was 60-90 days out the lady told me it's only 30. Guess I'll have to wait a while. If anyone hears different please post.
