Traffic between California and Vegas

Can anyone tell me how bad traffic will be between Anaheim and Vegas on a Saturday? Just wondering if we should allow ore time that mapqwuest tells us to.

We are planning on driving straight through on Sunday night so really don't think traffic is going to be a big factor going down but coming back we need to aim to hit Vegas around 6ish to meet up with an old friend.

It's a 4 hour drive with no traffic. Saturday should be a pretty straight shot, pending no weather or traffic issues.

Saturday's tend to be fairly light traffic on the Vegas route as people generally do a Friday - Sunday trip. However if you're going this time of year weather can be nasty and can add hours to the trip, accidents can too.

Right. It's a straight drive on the 15 through a long stretch of desert up to Vegas. I believe it's a 4-lane highway (2/2), so the left lane will be your friend when you meet those big tractor trailers.

When we made that drive last month we had no problems with traffic. We left on a saturday too and made the drive in about 3 1/2 hours.

Happy to help. We do the drive a few times a year - LV is a fun weekend getaway that DH looks forward to like I look forward to Disney visits. Lucky for me, we are closer to Disney.
