Hi everyone
most of you don't know me, I signed up on the WISH board sign on page 7, then got side tracked & re-committed on pg 14(I think). After I read my original post of the commitments I made, I decided to first do a one month natural detox for the whole body, and start cutting out the white "junk", drinking all my water and starting to walk (the treadmill I borrowed was returned to it's owner). Everything is on track! :Pinkbounc
I have been lurking around this board since I signed up and getting great inspiration from all of you. I love all the recipes too. Thank you everyone for you honesty in sharing your stories, successes & failures, it really helps knowing "I'm not the only one going thru this"
And so..... as of today I'm officially down 6lbs. It was a very long time in coming but the route I've chosen to lose the weight is, for me, the decision to live this way for the rest of my life. So it doesn't matter how long it takes! I tried the find the weight in sheet but couldn't find it. So I thought I'd post it here. Now I'm off get my new clippie.

I'm so glad to see you here again, Wendy. I have you on our list of WISHers as eating a controlled carbohydrate plan. Is that still correct?

You have done so well. I'm glad you decided to stop lurking though. We really need you to be part of our support group.

Congratulations on loosing those 6# HURRAY!!!!!

It was a very long time in coming but the route I've chosen to lose the weight is, for me, the decision to live this way for the rest of my life. So it doesn't matter how long it takes!

Often the hardes part of the journey to wt. loss is just deciding to do it! Glad to see that you made the decision, and way to go on finding what works for you. Enjoy your success!

Congratulation on the loss!:D

Wendy, I am so proud of you.:)

I am so glad you came here to let us know. I knew you could do it.

It doesn't matter what plan you are on as long as it is something you will be able to live with and succeed with and it sounds like it is working for you. Yipee!!!!

Please don't lurk anymore. This is where most of my posts go are on this board. ;) There a lot of great people on these boards. When you need encouragment and support this is the place to come.

Katholyn- yes I'm on a low-carb plan.
TigH- My original plan was to get healthy. Then I stated getting focused with "weight loss"- that's how I got side tracked, and the scales were bouncing up & down & up which got me really down.
I also found it really, really hard to control my eating when the weather is cold (in Canada...feb & march are THE worst!) So after re-reading my commitment, I put it into perspective, if I wanted to be healthy I needed to look & focus on that (and then the weight should just take care of it's self).
So, step #1- Was to detoxify my body (start April 2nd)-, I went to the health food store and got a program the detoxifies: liver, kidneys, heart, skin, colon, lymph(?) system - call CleasneSmart
-2 capsules in morn & 2 at night. This isn't a fast, so I thought it would get everything working right, help with craving and give me time to start cutting out stuff without major withdrawal.
Part of my commitment was to make sure I take all my vitamins and drink enough water; this is the routine I've been establishing during the detox stage.
Step # 2- Started (April 20) - during the detox phase was to get the sugars out, I don't use sugar in extra things like coffee, or cereal etc., but to stop eating cookies, chocolate etc.
Step #3- Starting to get rid of starches- pasta, rice, potatoes- I haven't gotten these all out yet but target date is May 6- when detox is over.
Step #4- Move this body- as the weather is getting warmer & I can get outside & bike ride and walk. But again the cold really gets to me so this is the one that's going to be the last thing I make the changes with. (Now if I could walk around WDW every day, there would be NO PROBLEM whats-so-ever)

Long answer but ya'll wanted to know.
Wendy
