Trading TS for CS?

Hello. I have seen conflicting answers on this. We are party of 15, and managed to grab a few TS ressies. But we still have 3 TS meals each without ressies. I have been calling to get some, but with 15 it is hard to match up with what's available and which park we'll be in. And we don't want to split up, this is an extended family trip. Do they allow you to use TS credits at quick service locations? Is there a way to "convert" them? TIA!

My information is almost one year old. Last year, you can convert them at the POP century food court. One cashier offered a CS + a snack and a mesh bag for one TS. But others simply took a TS credit for one CS.

You see conflicting information because there is no one answer to this.

The above poster is talking about an official Disney policy that took place during the free dining period in August/September in the past few years, where TS credits could be traded directly for CS plus snacks or merchandise. This was only officially in place during free dining. Disney hasn't announced any such deal yet for 2009 free dining - and it's only a week before that period starts.

At other times of the year, the best answer is maybe. You can try walking up to a CS place in the parks and asking them to accept a TS credit - but they might or might not do it. You could also try asking the concierge at your resort to convert your CS credits to TS credits, but again, some posters report being able to do this - and some have said they were not.

If you are on the deluxe dining plan, it doesn't matter - all deluxe credits are interchangeable for either TS or CS.

Thanks for the info! It would just seem like Disney would be saving some $$ by allowing this, as it is a cheaper meal. Hopefully this won't be a problem for us...

Depending on how things work out for your group maybe in a pinch you could pool some credits and have a pizza party if you can't do a sit down together.
A family pizza party at a resort pool sounds like a fun idea. :cool1:

That does sound like a good idea. How does the TS work for pizza party? Also, is there a place to eat by the pool at SSR?

Wish I could say. However I have walked by and around the main pool area a few times. But even that has been a while ago.
You might want to post on the resorts board and ask.
Also, maybe a few could walk over to the food court, grab some pizza and such with credits and go back to the pool area. :confused3 Too it depends on which pool you are at in SSR.
I would think if the All Stars have pizza delivery, SSR would too. :confused3 But hard to say.
And I have not had pizza on the DDP. Seems like at All Stars it's pizza and sodas, and the delivery fee is included.
Again, someone else would be of better help than I on that.
