Trading Thread

Hey, all!

How about a thread just for posts about trading? That way we can trade with people we know (sort of) and maybe arrange to meet in VMK to make the swap. There are random posts here and there with people mentioning that they would be willing to trade, but a I thought a thread devoted to this would bring all the would-be traders together. Whaddyathink?

That said, I have a couple of extra SkyWay Retro pins to trade. I am no longer looking for Fireworks Magic (I finally earned it), but I will trade for People Mover, or the Sub Retro.

LOL I think we need our own thread for those wanting the submarine pin. Now that the idea has caught on, seems like there are quite a few of us wanting that pin!

Agreed - there do seem to be alot of people needing that submarine pin. I missed out because I was at Disneyland when it was on sale.

other trade threads that keep falling off the first page. Perhaps the DIS Board would be kind enough to put a sticky so it will always be where we can find it.

I think a single trade thread fo all trades will get too long and confusing. I's best to post each trade as a clear thread and then let it die when the trade is complete.

My dream is getting a Dancing inferno,
I really don't need anything else, I have almost 23,000 credits saved up till the next special shopping spree ( had close to 28,000 till the tomorrowland pins came out )

but for right now that only seems to be a pipe dream. But I will keep on dreaming.......maybe someday it too will come true.

I am trying to find one or two of the princess tiaras to give to my two sisters who are new to VMK. I don't have much to trade - only the People Mover pin and the Tomorrowland SkyWay Pin.

I honestly think that it would be better if we had a subforum for trades. It would be easier and then this forum wouldn't be so cluttered with trades. And other people looking to trade for things wouldn't have to search those pages of threads.

That is an awesome idea. I already had a wonderful trade with Piratesmate
(who posts here). Of course, my VMK name isn't my DIS name, so it made
things a little goofy for us at first. (My VMK is BriarLori).

I'm still looking for a fireworks pin, since I can't get past 217k on my li'l ol'
dialup connection. I would also be interested in the Submarine Voyage pin.

The only things I've got of "value" to trade are golden ears and the magic
mirror poster available only from Disneyland.

Just out of curiosity, when were those People Mover and Submarine pins available?

The submarine pin was released on the 50th weekend I believe, I think that was July 16,17.
The people mover pin was released, maybe two weekends ago. They only sell them for the weekend and that's it.

Other items released on the 50th celebration weekend included the princess costume, and space man costume, and socerer Mickey's hat.

I am having more fun trading then anything else right now. It all started with invisibility. I traded that for gold ears. Then I traded two sky way pins for invisibility. Then I traded that invisibility for a bunch of quest items. Then I got more quest items for a camera t shirt, and then some more for two more sky way pins. Then tonight, I traded a ton of stuff I bought at ned's for another set of gold ears, which I then traded for black ears. lol. Anyways, this has been so much fun!!! This doesn't mention all the little trades I have done either. Man, this is so addicting. I wish VMK never closed!! I could stay up all night and do this. Is there a 12 step program for trading?? I think I might need it.


Oh yeah, now that I have black ears of my own, I have gold ears for trade. I had been borrowing black ears from a friend, but now I no longer need to.

All I need now is a sorcerer Mickey hat and a submarine pin and I will be in trading heaven. Not to mention some trades I still have to make tommorrow. lol.
