Hi,

I got one question.

If I got 2 Chars. How do I trade stuff from one to an other?
I use Internet Explorer and I havent quite figured it out how to log in with multiple chars, since I can ony use one pop up window at a time (and it requires 2).

So do I need to have 2 computers or is there an other solution to that problem?

Thanks a lot!

Oh yeah, one final question, what is the advanced mode for? What does it do if I click it on?

Welcome to the DIS!

Sometimes it's easier to use two characters if you have a different browser for the second character--that's what I do. Either that, or find someone you trust to make the trade for you.

The advanced mode lets you go to a specific instant of a room. Each section on VMK has several instances. So, if a friend says, "Meet me in Fireworks South" you would click on advanced, and a box pops up with a list of instances for fireworks. It's pretty cool.

Ah, thanks a lot now I get it.

One problem remains...what kind of other browser do you use?

I try Mozilla Firefox and Opera, but I couldn´t get the plugin to work there?

Or do I need to correct something at the browser-options?

Thanks again! :teacher:

I had a hard time and spent hours upon hours figuring out how to have two browsers with two different characters that could trade stuff. The way I finally got it to work was to download Firefox (free). I will use my new character on firefox (realize that with FF, usually it takes 2 or 3 tries to log in. The first time you will probably get a black window that says "done" at the bottom). If this happens, keep trying to log in and you should be able to get in after a couple tries. It helps to let firefox remember your username and password for the "mule" so you won't have to input it each login try. Then use internet explorer with your main character. Have your mule name their room "do not enter". When you have your main logged in on IE, search for the room called "do not enter". (I do this so my friends won't follow me while I'm trying to trade with my mules). Go into that room and you should have two windows open, one with your mule on Firefox, and one with your main on IE. Then do the trade. After the trade, log out both characters. The reason for this, is that if you just log out the mule on firefox and try to play with your main in IE, the text gets all weird and you can encounter other issues with the game as well. So just exit with both, and come back with only your main character.

I tried this with several browsers like Netscape and MSN explorer, and found that only firefox and IE could be used at the same time with two simultaneous windows. Hope it works for you!

Also, if this does not work, I am more than willing to facilitate a trade. You can look for my rooms and find me. I am usually on in the evenings until close, and start anywhere from 7pm to 11 at the latest. If you can't get the two browsers to work, make a mule, buy stuff, and then PM me with a good time to meet you.

I know you don't know me, but I am very honest and will not cheat you. My character and myself are fairly well known on the boards and I think others can vouch that I am honest and will not steal your stuff. My main goal in playing VMK is to create fun for other players and to help them out.

But I do hope the double browser thing works for you, because it makes it SO much easier, not having to rely on someone else. You can make mules and get stuff anytime you want without the hassle of having to find another person to help you. PM me with any questions if you want!

P.S. And don't forget, you can make as many "mules" as you want, and the email does not even have to be a valid one! So you can keep making new characters and getting them all the credit codes, and trading stuff you buy to your main character.

Here is a list of things to do with a "mule" to get the maximum credits to buy things:

1. Enter all codes on the sticky for credits
2. Sell all your clothes except what you are wearing, or just trade them to your main and your main can sell them to get their own credits.
3. Visit the NPC's for 40 credits each, and trade the pins to your main character too (some ppl collect those pins so you can give them away...Piratedragoon collects them I know)
4. Play Jungle Cruise (and just kill your boat right away, you still get 50 credits no matter how well you play)
5. Make and play a song in the Music Game. The song can just be one sound, dont' work too hard on it if you are in a hurry. You get 100 credits to make the song and 100 to play it.
6. If you want to get your main character credits so they can buy things like rooms, camera, film, and whatever other non-tradable items, buy a bunch of hong kong disney t shirts (100 credits each) and trade them to your main character. Your main can then sell the shirts for 50 bucks a pop (this is the item that has the best buy/sell ratio as far as I know). It's a purple shirt in the clothing shopping section.

Firefox and IE are the best two to use. You may need to download the shockwave and flash players for the newest plugins for Firefox to work....go to macromedia.com.

PM me if you can't get it to work. I will be more than happy to help you trade if we can meet up. A good place to do it is in my trade room, listed on my sig. but you can look for me in any of my other rooms too.

You can do it with just explorer if you do this

> go to vmk.com

> click enter game

> on the login/password page right click ( DO NOT LOG IN FIRST)

> a menu will drop down, select add to favorites

> go ahead and log in

> Start up another instance of IE

> go to your favorites and find the page you saved

> trade away :)

I was told that too, and for some reason that method did not work for me. It does apparently work for some people though, so try it that way too and see if it works!

Currently, the Spiderweb Divider has the best ratio - it is 150 credits when selling and only costs 200, so mit is a 75% return, the rugs and pumpkins are a good return too

You could also log into vmk usinf the same browser by using this link.

This is how I'm able to log into 2 accounts while away from my own pc. Other wise, I tend to use IE and Firefox simultaneously. :)

If you are just after credits too- make boy mules- they get 60 more credits when selling back clothes- if your main is a boy just trade all the clothes and have main sell them to avoid the problem of losing 75% of the resale value later- but if main is a girl you will definitely need to sell boy clothes (although some do transfer not all do)

Oh, I did not know that. Thanks!
