Trading problems

First of all, I can't figure out how to even do this, is there anyone out there who's patient enough to give me a step by step instruction for this? Thanks.

I have clicked on trade of course but how do you put items up for trade? Nothing happens...

You double click on the item that you would like to trade. Then it should pop up in the squares above your name. Once you have what you would like to trade and you like what the other person is offering, you check the box that says so and so accepts. That is it. Is that what you needed help with?

Just remember that if there is furniture that you have that you want to trade, you have to have it in your inventory and not sitting in a room.

Just make sure that the other person is offering something that you want. If they don't offer something in the same window that you are offering your stuff, do not accept the trade.
