In case anyone is looking to buy some pins for the kids before you go. I was in the disney store in Scarborough Town Centre tonight, and bought some trading pins. They had quite a good selection, and they were on sale. Original price $7.50 marked down to $4.99, and then 25% off the marked down price. They came out to $3.74 each.

I made a special trip over to Fairview Mall today to get pins so that I could do some trading when we are in WDW in February. I found a bin and picked out some nice pins that were marked $4.99, they were then 25% off on top of that. When I got to the cash the Manager of the store was serving me and asked if I planned to trade these on a future trip to the World. He then told me that he was obligated to tell me that these pins were not tradeable at WDW as they said "DisneyStore" on the back and the Disney Store was no longer owned by Disney. He said he had lots of customers come back to the store to tell him that they weren't able to trade these pins while vacationing at WDW. I left without buying any. Now I'm wondering if I should have taken the chance???

Oh rats, well my son liked them anyway. I didn't know the Disney Store wasn't owned by disney. You think they might have changed their name. Duh!

Thanks anyway for the heads up. I'm so cheap I might just have gone and bought more.

At any rate, on our last trip I bought pins with the lanyard at Boardwalk, they were all Mickey at different stages of his history. No CM could get him to trade them, he's a real Mickey fan, I guess. We'll see what happens when we go this time...two of the pins I bought were of Mickey, the others were of Dumbo and Rocketeer, he'd probably be willing to trade them. I'll try to remember to update when I get back.

When I was at Vaughan Mills this weekend I bought a bunch of PINS. The CM had advised me that they are fne to trade. Hope this helps

I stocked up on pins before we went at the DS and we traded them all.. never had an issue.
I am sure it will be fine to trade them all.. I am heading to Limeridge mall tonight to see what their selection is. Hoping for some good pins for the kids.
