trading pages swap - I'm done!

Mary,

Got my pages yesterday! Thank you! They came out wonderful! I see you got creative with the scanner and reprinted some of my photos! I would never have been able to do that!

Thank you again!

Trish

glad you got them patty, I was a little worried there! :D maggie

Oops, sorry Maggie. I didn't get your pages sent yesterday because I had a hard time figuring out how to send them to you. Well, that's resolved now so they're going in the mail tomorrow - promise. For a sneak preview...

Robin, you did an outstanding job!!!!! I can't wait to see the pages in person! Thank you so much!!!!! maggie

Here is the link to the page's I did of RRBB's photos:

If the link doesnt work, go to WWW.twopeasinabucket.com and search for my layout by my username: poohbear1029.

Robin's photos were great. They had travelled to Korea for a friends traditional Korean Wedding. I had so much fun finding papers for this one. I went to a local art store and found Asian inspired paper-backed silk. They told me it was acid-free because it was silk, but either way, none of the photos touch the silk directly.

I scraplifted the layout from this May's Creating Keepsakes, Becky HIggins layouts.

WDWLVR: Next I will photograph and post the ones that you sent me!

OMG, Tricia I just got my pages today and they're gorgeous. I got chills up my spine when I first looked at them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I absolutely love the layouts. (The scans I made just don't do them justice.)

Trading Pages from Tricia and for Maggie

This was so much fun I can't wait to do it again. :)

Ok ladies, I need your help. I've had Mary's pages done for a week but can NOT find an envelope anywhere big enough to send 12 x 12 back! Obviously some of you have...so share please!

TIA,
Deb

I took and sandwiched my pages between two pieces of 12x12 cardboard (i have plenty --- it comes with mail order paper!)

Then I took it to the post office and then had a 2 in or so deep box that was slightly less than 12 inches wide. If they put it in "kitty-corner" the cardboard held it stiff and it worked. The box was included in the priority shipping price.

Try that! Mary mailed me mine in an envelope that looked like it was perfectly 12x12. Not sure where she may have found that.

I used a flat priority mail box - you know, the way they are displayed at the post office before you open them up into box form - that I'd received something in. Since it'd already been used I cut the box apart, turned it inside out, and retaped it back together again. To seal it, I folded the flaps from both ends over. This turned out to be the perfect size for the 12x12 pages and it should be safe too. But just to be sure, I wrote "Do Not Bend" on it. (Can't be too careful.)

Thanks Ladies! Will see if I can round up one of those boxes or something similar from the mounds of shipping we receive here at work.

Mary, I PROMISE that one way or another I will have those in the mail by Friday this week.

Deb

hi, I just bought a 14x13 envelope or something close to that at the post office. maggie

The mailer i used was actually one we get film in here at work. Not something you could go out and buy just one of I think.

Deb, don't worry I'm patient. I'd rather hear they haven't mailed than to hear they have and I didn't get them. :)

Robin, I got the pages today, they rock! I love them! Thanks so much! maggie

I'm so glad they made it home safely Maggie.

This was so much fun that I hope we do it again some time.
