Trading in park tickets at SOG?

Does anyone know if Shades of Green will take unused tickets as a trade-in on new tickets? A co-worker went to Disney World last month for a conference and when he returned he gave me an unused 2 day park hopper ticket including 1 admission for Pleasure Island or Disney Quest. We were planning to get 8-day Stars and Stripes tickets and I'm not sure if there is a way to put this towards the purchase of one of those tickets.

This doesn't sound like a typical park hopper ticket but maybe one purchased by our company as part of the conference. I don't know, I've never been.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You cannot upgrade conference or other "special" tickets. In fact, you should look closely at the tickets - most of those expire in 14 days.

The only chance you have is if they are non-expiry to use them, but no one (Disney or SOG) will give you any trade-in value on them.

The Stars and Stripes tickets no longer exist - just the MYW tickets. The SOG website ticket info has been updated so you can take a look at which will meet your needs the best.

Sorry to disagree with you, but the Stars and Stripes tickets do still exist. They are now called Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes.

You can get all of the info at www.shadesofgreen.org under the Help and Information tab at the top of the page is a spot for PDF downloads. The Stars and Stripes tickets are explained on the second page of the pdf file.

Thank you all. I'm pretty sure they were conference tickets but not positive. They have a picture of Mickey on a dark blue background with "Walt Disney World" written on the front. It says it expires 10 days from first usage and the first day must be by Dec. 30, 2005.

Oh well it was worth a try. I'm going to ask at the SOG ticket counter anyway and see what happens. But because reducing the ticket I originally planned to buy by two days will save something like $11 if I can't use the ticket as trade in I'll just pass on the Disney magic and give it to someone in line buying tickets.

Do people still stand in line to buy tickets??
