Trading in Hopper Pass for Annual Pass with DVC discount

Is it possible to do that? If we have a 5 day hopper can we trade for the Annual Pass with the DVC discount once we get to the parks or at check in at OKW?

You should be able to upgrade at Guest Services at all four parks and DTD.

I am not sure if this is correct or not, but this is what happened to me...

I just got home from Disney today. We had 2 old 1 day hoppers. These were pre Magic Your Way tickets. We went to the International Gateway to upgrade them to DVC AP's and were told we couldn't. The cast member said only Magic Your Way tickets can be upgraded, not old tickets.

You were told wrong but they likely did you a favor as all you would have gotten would have been what they originally cost (prorated) rather than the value of a day now. You were better off keeping them for a future trip. You'll eventually have just the right time to use them to your advantage.

At first I was a little mad when you said they told me wrong, but I guess you're right, it's better this way! We are headed back to WDW in January and my daughter's AP will expire midway through our trip so those passes will come in handy then.
