Now that there are Annual Pass discounts for DVC members, I'm thinking of buying a Park Hopper Plus for my upcoming trip in a few weeks, using up some of it, and then trading in the ticket towards an Premium Annual Pass sometime in the future, after the DVC discount goes into effect January 2nd.
What I'm wondering is how much a Park Hopper Plus from Hotwire will be worth towards an PAP. In the past, if you bought a ticket from a discounter like Hotwire, Disney has only allowed the WHOLESALE price, not the actual purchase price, to be pro-rated and applied towards an Annual Pass. If a Hotwire ticket is worth a lot less wholesale than what I paid, I might be better off buying a non-discounted Park Hopper Plus directly from Disney. That way, Disney will pro-rate the full purchase price towards an PAP.
So, does anyone know what the wholesale price of a Hotwire Park Hopper Plus is? Has anyone traded one in (either towards an PAP or towards any other ticket?) Or maybe traded in a ticket from TicketMania or another discount vendor?
