Hi,

My wife and I stayed there in October for three nights and we enjoyed it. If you have specific questions feel free to PM me!

Somerset where? We live right next to Somerset, MA. Anywho, we stayed at the Sandpiper a couple of years ago in the winter. I didn't like our room because we overlooked the parking lot, but we had used Travelocity and I don't think they get the quality locations. The pools were great, onsite restaurant was great, outside bar always a plus, on the beach and I think there beach chairs are included in the room rate. We often stay on the beach after our Disney days and almost always have to pay extra when using the beach lounge chairs. I personally make a point of looking for free parking and free beach chairs now when I book hotels. I just remembered, they have a couple of hammocks on the beach in a secluded sort of area. We will be heading to Sandpiper in September so I keep watching the rates. Last time in St. Pete, we stayed at the Alden. It was OK. Friends of ours love the Sirata, but alas, beach chairs are a separate fee.:3dglasses

We stayed there a couple of years ago, we really liked it. We made sure to ask for a quiet room at check in due to the bar next door. They gave us a great corner room with a partial ocean view. We would go back again, not much places to eat close by but make sure you venture down to Johns Pass for a great seafood meal. THe kids will love to watch the pelicans waiting for the fishing boats to bring in fish and also sometimes you can catch the dolphins there. Johns pass is a great place to wonder around for an hour they have some really cute shops and boutiques there.

Have fun

Ohhhh. That's not the next town over afterall. But it may help you to know it's very cold here in the Northeast. It rained ICE yesterday! No wonder we're all dreaming of Florida.:3dglasses
