Trader Sam's crowds

Hi all,

Has anyone been to Trader Sam's lately? I'm wondering what the crowd levels have been like, and what time it is when it starts to reach capacity inside.

We will be doing a monorail bar crawl after a day at MK and just want to plan ahead as to how early we should get there. If it is still getting crowded upon opening at 4 PM perhaps we will take a break from the park, pay a visit and then go back.

There are usually people waiting on the 4 o'clock opening, and then after that it's dependent on when those people leave.

I'm not a local Floridian, only going to Disney a couple times a year so for me to give you the most accurate opinion based on experience isn't great. However, Trader Sams is interesting when it comes to predicting "crowds," since it's a bit unfair for this established. What I mean by that is this restaurant/bar is arguably one of the smallest dining places on Disney property (the entrance is a service door for crying out loud haha.) But that's why I love it. It's so different and elusive. But yes, all it takes is a couple groups and this place is full. Therefore, trying to pick the perfect time can be very tricky. My fiance and I were there last summer when it was relatively new and at the time we went (est. 7pm) or so we thought it would be mobbed...and it was virtually empty! At the end of the day it's a tiny little bar nestled in a resort, so you just gotta wing it and hope for the best. Highly recommended for a drink though.

We went yesterday afternoon. Arrived at 415 and walked right in as a party of 6 plus an infant with no wait.
