We just got a TJ's. How are the prices? I haven't made my way out there yet.

The prices are actually surprisingly reasonable for the quality and the different stuff you can find -- I think you'll have a fun time shopping there!

My favorites lately:

Sliced Muenster cheese (if you like muenster, theirs is seriously the BEST!)
Mandarin Orange Chicken (frozen -- DHs fave)
French Onion Soup (frozen in 2 circular *bricks*, so great!)
Haricot Verts (little skinny french green beans, frozen)
Mushroom and Black Truffle flatbread (frozen, DELISH, really, really rich)
English Toffee covered in chocolate and almonds (OMG)
Bagels (everything, and DD loves the plain mini ones -- very *chewy*)
Chive and Onion cream cheese (perfectly oniony for those bagels!!)
Pomegranite Limeade (in the juice section. very tart, VERY addictive!!)

Great stuff!!

We just got a TJ's. How are the prices? I haven't made my way out there yet.

The prices are okay. We had a similiar type store in Arizona (I live in Indiana now) called Henry's that had better prices and more variety but TJ is cheaper than our alternative which is Wild Oats.

We always buy...

Chocolate Syrup (the only kind I can find made w/ regular sugar and not HFCS)
Unburied Treasure (Their version of Pirate's Booty)
Organic Grape Jelly
Soy corn dogs (much cheaper than at Publix)

OK- now I was on a mission for TJ's- I thought there weren't any in our area. There are about 5 within 20 minutes- the closest being about 9 miles from me. I am so going this weekend. :thumbsup2

-mini bagels (fresh not frozen)
-Joe O's cereal
-Fruit Bars (So this strawberry/apple/blueberry etc walked into a bar)
-orange chicken
-frozen jasmine rice
-postickers and goyza sauce
-shrimp/chicken fried rice
-marinara sauce
-pizza sauce
-fresh pizza crust (the best crust I have ever bought!)
-fresh salsa (I like the hot, rest of the family prefers the mild)
-jalapeno hummus (pretty much all of their hummus :o)
-frozen tricolor bell peppers
-frozen hodge podge veggies
-frozen super sweet corn
-flax seed tortilla chips (sound weird but really good)
-Jo Jo cookies
-parmesan/romano cheese
-olive oil
-3 buck chuck!

Think I need to make a trip to Joe's now :thumbsup2

We just got a TJ's. How are the prices? I haven't made my way out there yet.

There are lots of things for me that are way cheaper than my regular grocery store or Whole Foods. I buy lots of frozen strawberries for smoothies. At TJ's they are $1.69 for non organic and $2.29 for organic. At my regular grocery, they are $3.69 for store brand and $3.99 for Dole. All of the organic canned goods are cheaper. Also, Olive Oil is way cheaper at TJ's. The Hebrew National Hot dogs are $1 cheaper than our regular grocery.

They also have lots of gourmet type things that are much cheaper. They sell Beer Bread that is pretty much exactly the same as Tastefully Simple for less than half the price. The brownies with the Ghiardelli chocolate are just like TS also (I was a TS consultant for 4 years and now I buy my beer bread at TJ's).

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting. I see lots of my fav's in the lists but some new things to try too!

We love the vegan fried rice in the frozen section (we aren't vegans) so I put a little oil in the pan and crack 2 eggs and scramble it into the rice while cooking. Yummy!

I love their frozen veggies: artichokes, aspargus, green beans. They taste almost as good as fresh and is convenient when I don't get to the market to buy fresh veggies.

My son's favorite cereal is the TJ version of frosted mini wheats.

I also like the aspargus risotto for a quick side dish.

I love their: burshetta (best I have found yet)
fresh small mozzarella balls
and their eggs are $1.49 a dozen
of course I always buy 2 buck Chuck since the got the white zin
the red and yellow currie sauce is great too
I also buy their cheese when I am there

I'm making a trip during my lunch break tomorrow (the one by my work carries a few different things that I like that the one by my house doesn't carry). I have a question about the orange chicken, is it healthy? I mean is it fried or just grilled and glazed? Thanks! :goodvibes

I am a big fan of the following items:
  • Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Frozen Steel Cut Oatmeal
  • Kung Pao Noodles
  • Blueberry and Peach Panacotta
  • Kettle Corn
  • Pizza Dough and Sauce

Here are a few of are favorites

Orange Chicken
Frozen Green Beans
Garlic French Fries
Bird nests - frozen asian appetizers
Quesadillas (frozen)
fresh salsa
3 buck chuck

I always find something new there when I go - there are so many fun things to try.

Now I'm hungry:banana:
