Trade vent!

OK, I have been on too long tonight, I need to get off here and calm down for a while.

How come when the trade window comes up the person on the other side doesn't say anything, just starts putting up what they are trading????? Its like salespeople shoving things in your face!!! No "Hi" or "Is your ____ for trade". So I say "Wait! What do you want!"

Also, when I say I am not trading an item, please respect my wishes, don't beg or plead with me! Don't tell me it is for your "poor friend"

Also, when will people realize that pink doors, free pirate stuff, and regular clothes are not tradeable for magic, princess dresses, or my Jack costume??? (or that my Jack costume isn't for trade!)

Sorry, I know I was a tad rude to at least one person tonight. I will never apply to be a CL!

What annoys me is when they sends trade requests when you clearly have in your signature, "Ask before trade" Then when you reject they say, "Please trade!" Then you hassle them for not reading your signature and they go: "I didn't mean to trade i hit the wrong button."

If someone doesn't type anything, it may be because they don't read and write yet. That was the case with my youngest when he started playing.

Begging is annoying, but that is why there is an Ignore button.

I also wish people would just tell you what they are looking for before they send a trade request. I am fairly new and 99% of the time I am not going to have what they are looking for so it is easier to cut to the chase and say "Hey, do you have such and such" before hitting that button.

I too received many many requests to trade my pirate hat for free pirate code stuff. You might as well just ask for it for free instead and hope a gracious person will gift you with one.

I hear you! In the 3-4 minutes that each of my characters was on last night to do the quest & NPC credit run, I got at least 4 windows for trade requests - no asking, just the window.

Someone here mentioned before that they leave the window open until they can't stand it or it gets in the way...since you can't move the stupid thing! I've taken to leaving it open until it gets in the way & then I hit 'Ignore'. Sometimes if I'm feeling really mean, I'll leave it open while I do the credit run, go Nedding for a while and only close it when I want to play fireworks. You'd think they'd get the hint! But I had someone follow me around this morning who kept asking again when the 'Ignore' wore off....I must be too predictable in my NPC pattern.

It is annoying when I go into a trade room and as if anyone is trading pirate quest. I even say the items from the park. People still try to give me the free pirate stuff from the game and ask for rare stuff. It is so annoying.

I had to change my personal room (furniture garage) to friend's only because people would come in and say "can I have free? plz plz I am poor"

now if it was a friend who saw something and liked it, I would probably give it to them just because, but not for some kid who is hoping for a hand out.

You can move the trade request windows. I think you just click on the top edge and move it just like most other windows. Keep trying and you'll figure it out. Then you can stack the requests someplace like the upper left corner of the screen as they come in.

Yeah, but you can renew your trading abilities by entering a different room because of people doing that. So you can flood people now!

I usually put "ask before trade please" in my signature and then just reject trades from whoever doesn't ask first, and say "please read my signature".

Just now in yavn's room I had about 7 trade requests in a row, even after I said to read it. Though that may be because people looked at it and saw the new surfing pin and hit trade without reading. hehe

I know...I forgot to make my room private so only friends could come in, and these people come in and are like "you have teleporters,pins,posters, anything for trade?" Hello its like getting a spam message in your email.

I'm starting to think I might go slightly insane from the madness of trading. Just slightly. I wish there was a "Block trade" button on VMK, make loads of lives easier. Including staffs.

They're especially bad when they go crazy and say "i report u bc u didnt give meh free stuff staff make rule say new ppl get free stuff". And this is alot better than the stuff I regularly read on VMK, lol. I wonder when people will take the time to be a little legible and alittle more grammatically correct. It's not that hard. Believe me.

Trading's not my thing now. I just prefer to say hi to some friends, look and "ooo" and "aaa" at the new things I'll never have because of my insanely slow laptops.

What I hate is some of the manes they give you. Yesterday I was in a trade room, and I was trading. I was about to say yes, then i realized it wasn't a great offer. I said nah and closed trade. She came over yo me, called me a trade artist, and left before i could do anything.
