Trade in value for Nintendo DS

I am thinking about trading in my regular nintendo ds for the ds lite. Anybody ever done this? If so, about how much would I get for it at places like gamestop or ebgames.

I would also like to know are they going to stop making games for the gamecube eventually with the new release of wii?

I have not try to trade one in, but I know they sell them for somewhere around $80. Did you know that Gamestop and EB Games are now really the same company? As far as the Gamecube games, I don't see them stopping production anytime soon.

If you call your local EB store, they will give you a quote. My guess is $30-40. Pretty chintzy.

As for Gamecube games, I doubt they will cut them off totally for another year. But new releases have already slowed to a crawl, and I expect them to get even less frequent than they are today (if that's possible). The last blockbuster release will be Zelda: Twilight Princess.

A better option might be to go to Ebay, and see what they are selling for. Normaly selling a product on Ebay (although not guaranteed) is worth a lot more than the very low trade in price you can get.
As for the Gamecube games. Yes, they will keep making gamecube games for quite a while, even though the Wii will be out.
First of all, they know that many people will not change over for quite a while, but secondly, the Wii will actually be able to use the Gamecube games (although not with the benefits of the new controler).
The next time you are on Gamestops or Ebgames web site, look at the Gamecube page, and look at upcoming games.
