Trade dessert for side at CS?

I understand you cannot use your dessert credit for an appetizer at a TS restaurant. But is it possible to trade your CS dessert for a side item? I'm diabetic, so I'm trying to save my daily carbs for something really yummy (like dessert at TS) rather than just a piece of chocolate cake from a CS place. Thanks for your help!

I also have diabetes, so I usually just pass on CS desserts. They are usually the little cups of carrot or chocolate cake. Not worth the extra carbs. I have traded them for a water of piece of fruit. Just tell them your diabetic and CMs will let you know your other choices.
