Good morning all!

For the first time in the 10 years we have owned at BW and been DVC members I had to waitlist for a studio in October for one night. I did go ahead and book at OKW as a back up.

My question is ... what is the best way to track if your waitlist has come through? I have read a couple of threads that mention seeing in on the MS website. Would you kind people please share with me where I need to look as I sure will be :scared1: waiting for it to come through!

I check to see where I am that addtl night. I'm waitlisted at the moment for my first night in Dec...the 6th, at AKL. Then, I move over to BWV. So, I can tell if my waitlist comes through by looking at my reservations listing...if AKL is still there for Dec 6, then my waitlist hasn't come though yet.

I check the vacation detail section of the DVC website to see if the additonal night is listed or the points section to see if there are less points than the last time I checked. I was WL for one night in Sept for BWV SV and it came through in less than a week -. Hope you have the same luck.

Now I'm scared. I can't believe you had to waitlist calling at the 11 month window for your trip!! yikes.

All you can do is go to your upcoming activities where it lists your upcoming reservations and you will see a new reservation when it comes through.

go the the dvc website and check to see if pts have come out of your account!

Thanks! I will be looking at that site daily:lmao:

Got it:thumbsup2

Sorry for the confusion ... I booked yesterday afternoon:eek: I typically book 11 months out but yesterday DH and I were sitting by the pool and he asked me what I thought about a quick weekend at the Food and Wine Festival:laughing:

We are already planning to take friends to the Food and Wine Festival NEXT year in a 2 bdr BW view BWV. You can bet that I will be calling on Nov. 1 for those ressies:rotfl2:

I had to waitlist for 2 nights at 9 months out. The waitlist still has not come through.:headache:

I called at 7 months for October, and have a standard view studio at BWV. The irony is that that's my back-up booking. I wanted a studio at BCV (the rest of my vacation is at BCV) and was surprised I was able to get any Epcot resort at 7 months. To the OP, don't feel strange if you check the website every day, now that you know how. I mean, don't we all do that when we're on the waitlist?

An update ...

This morning I called MS to check on the waitlist ... and lo and behold a 1BDR at BWV was available for Friday night:cool1:

So I grabbed it and used the new one-time add on program at $15 a point to make up the difference so I don't have to borrow from next years point allocation:thumbsup2

Now DH wants to know if I can waitlist and call MS until we can get a 1BDR for Saturday night:faint: I told him sure but it means borrowing points or perhaps another add-on. Guess what his answer was .... borrow points:scared1:

Before you know it addonitis will strike! You'll always want a 1 BR instead of a studio.

Glad it worked out at less than 4 months getting into BWV. We are fairly new members (joined May 2009) and were pleasantly surprised to get a reservations at BWV for early October at the 7 month mark. Don't know what's going on with the availability at BWV. But I hope we get more chances in the future and are able to try BCV too.

We've bought our first DVC points at BWV in 1998 and then added on in 2002. I would  to add on again but I have to work on DH:lmao:

We just love BWV! We gave BLT a try in March but that DH hated it and quickly said "NO!!!" to adding on there. I probably will be able to wear him down after the Food and Wine Festival:drinking1

You can still buy BWV direct through Disney or even cheaper resale. A little pixiedust: to help with the prodding.

I think availability is getting better at BWV due to people wanting to try out the new resorts - AKV and BLT. Could be the economy too.
