END OF CHECK-IN DAY

Hi Dis Friends!! Since I'm now less than 3 months away from my Dec trip, I figured I would start wrapping up this TR!

When we left off, Dbro and I just ate at Hurricane Hannahs and then he was heading back to his CP apt for his 2 hour housing meeting!

After Dbro left, I sat at the pool and got in a few times. It seemed pretty busy for a Monday but it was still summer!

It was at that point that once again the skies turned black and it was going to rain! I gave up and pretty much gave up all hope on the fact that I wasn't going to get tan the 3 days I was there! I got out of the pool area just in time and headed back up to my room!

It was nearing 4pm or so and my CM friend..you know, the one that got me the amazing YC $170 night room + her connections to get me the CL upgrade..well her and her DF were heading to Epcot for dinner with friends at the new Italy restaurant and thought they would park at YC and see the room and all the goodies!

They stopped by around 5:30 and saw the room and we were all hanging out in the room when the skies turned dark again and they said forget Epcot and didn't really want to pay OOP full price for the pizza at the new restaurant and said "hey let's go to Beaches and Cream and get ice cream!" So off we went. I ended up paying to thank her for the discount and the upgrade..what do you think we got??????

YEP! THE KITCHEN SINK!!!!

We pretty much at it all and it was every penny!

After our yummy dinner of ice cream, we checked out the arcade! We played a few games and then went back up to the lounge. Inside the lounge we found my Dbro and his roomie hanging out with one of the CL CMs and talking. I guess they had been there for an hour or so enjoying the yummy food! We all sat and talked for a bit and then decided to go over to Poly to watch the fireworks and get a late dinner at Capt' Cooks!!

After grabbing our food and chairs on the beach, we saw the same amazing display as we did the night before!

After fireworks, Dbro and his roomie dropped me off at YC and headed back to their apt. It was sad to be alone my last night in WDW but I used the time wisely and began to pack and clean up the room! I had Stacy on the whole time of course but it was still pretty sad to be leaving paradise!!

That apartment seems so small for all those guys! I just love how important it is for guys to pack up TVs. We had one crappy TV all through college and never had cable. My brothers were like your brother and had one in every room.

Thanks! Mine at Chatham was way bigger than the new apts. I guess they figure, if they make them smaller, they can fit more people

Is your brother's character audition for a specific character or for characters in general?

I thought so too. Can you imagine if it were for girls?! I looked at the closet space and just laughed!! The rooms in general were super small too! I'm glad I chose Chatham for my program!

The audition is for 3 specific characters: goofy, the guy that comes out in Muppets 3D and the Beast...we shall see

It was sooo good!!! I've seen fworks from Poly beach a billion of times! My roommates/friends and I would go all the time when we lived in FL. It gave us another excuse to get dole whips and yummo food!

I can't imagine it either!!! I loved my apt at chatham because it was all separate rooms and had hallways and our bedrooms/bathrooms/closets were all huge. I can understand their idea of going smaller to fit in more people for the program so I guess Dbro will be enjoying his time away from the tiny apt when family come to visit and he stays at a hotel!

Thanks!! The bag was given to us with all the books in it about DVC. I know they used to use the white shopping type bags with the blue lettering (sad I know and I'm not even a DVC member!) but I guess now they have gone green and use the reusable ones. Can you imagine if they sold those!?

WELL, I GUESS THIS IS GOODBYE...

Yes, you read the title..this is it!

I feel bad that I wasted time on a TR for such a short trip but it was good in a way because of all the new experiences and I shared a little bit of what the check-in process is like for the College Program!

Update as of 9/19:
Dbro is doing well. He tried to go to the audition for character but it was for non CMs so they told him they will have auditions for current CMs at some point and to check back. He got to do a backstage magic type thing at DHS and got to ride RnR with the lights on! He said it was the coolest thing! He is hoping to do the Haunted Mansion one that he slept in for
Other than that he is doing well!!


MONDAY AUGUST 9 2010

When we left off, I had been dropped off from Poly and was getting ready for bed. I thought I would go to SAB but I ended up packing instead.

After packing for an hour, I decided to go to bed. After a good last nights sleep I woke up bright and early to the FL sun

I got up and went down for my last wonderful breakfast in the lounge. After that I decided to do some shopping. I had bought a WDW Tshirt the day before and discovered a hole in it so I needed to return it. I was just returning the shirt and buying two things at the gift shops at YCBC when these 2 little babies decided that they wanted to come home with me...

It was one of those deals where if you spend $40, you get them for $15 so I got both bags for $15 total. I couldn't pass it up and I was running out of room anyways! After the purchases, I packed everything up and called for bell services to come collect my bags so I could check-out and then headed to SAB until Dbro picked me up!

Before I left, the clouds rolled in..

You know the "it's going to rain/storm type clouds"

I got down to SAB at 11:30 and got a chair in the same location that I was in all weekend...

Dbro called and said he would be by at 2 to get me so we could eat lunch and I could show him were the grocery store was and some shopping areas.

I wasn't in the chair more than an hour when the skies opened up and it stormed. Everyone ran for cover of course and waited, and waited, and waited. After a 1/2 hour of waiting, I gave up and went inside the gym area to shower and get ready to leave. I took my time and by the time I finished up, Dbro was already out front waiting

We made one last stop before leaving WDW and that was...

My last request was to use my last CS meal and get the wonderful chicken alfredo meal! We went in and both got the same meal and I got him a bottled water to take back to his apt. We both got Mickey Ice Cream bars for dessert and I used up the last few snacks I had on the rice krispies and pretzels.

After the good meal, we headed out and I showed Dbro where the Best Buy, Super Target, and Sams Club were. After nearly spending $400 on kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom stuff we headed back to Dbros apt.

We unloaded everything at his apt and then headed to the airport. We were pretty much silent the whole way there and by the time I got out of the car at the unloading zone, I was in full-out tears. We hugged and said goodbye several times and then finally I said one final goodbye and walked through the doors. Even now writing this I'm starting to tear up!

Once inside, I relaxed myself and made it to the Airtran counter. I did all the check-in stuff via the computer screen and when it came to my bag check payment..I wasn't charged. Not to cheat the airline, I inquired about not being charged. The worker checked the computer and saw the tag printed but didn't charge me. He told me it was my lucky day and I didn't have to pay I told him I don't mind paying for the bag and he said the tag printed and he wasn't 100% sure how to go into the system to charge it and reprint a tag so he said have a good day, took my bag, and off I went!


I headed to eat dinner at Chick Fil A, got through security just fine, to the gate, and they loaded 10 mins later. It was an uneventful flight home which is the type that you love love love! I was next do a teen boy of which I felt bad because he didn't have any magazine, book, ipod, nothing and just looked out the window for the 2 hr flight to Dayton, OH.

When I got off the plane, my mom and dad were waiting at baggage claim! I got my bag and we headed home! I pretty much crashed when I hit my bed



...Well that's it! It was an awesome trip filled with a ton of 1sts and lots of surprises! If you haven't already joined my Oct PTR, the link is at the bottom!!!

What a bummer that the auditions were not for people who were already CMs! So disappointing!

Other than that silly rainstorm, it sounds like a great last day!I know I'd be bawling dropping off one of my brothers like that. I hope he is enjoying himself down there!
