TPAS2 Alumni and friends thread

I don't think it's nuts.....I think its great!!!! But I gotta tell you I am curious how it came about?:confused3

Long story short....my bff and I (pictured below) love going so we were planning a trip Jan 22-26th, we had our dining book but were taking our sweet time booking the hotel.......well, my husband decides to buy me a car this past weekend (my dream car, Toyota RAV-4, red) and he had been bugging me about taking him to Disney but staying at the COntemporary. So after the car I decided I would book his dream trip - 4 nights at the Contemporary Club Level and my bff switched the dining reservations to my name (castle included - on our honeymoon we had our first meal at the castle) So that was that .. I felt bad because I love going with my bff but she was super sweet about it.

So yesterday she is bored and mad at her husband and decides that the girls, myself, herself and her 10 year old daughter, should go. Disney came out with a great room rate and it was a deal we couldn't refuse. So we are going Jan 4-7 to celebrate her daughter's birthday as a girl's only trip. We are staying at Pop Century and even got a lunch reservation at LeCellier!

So that's how that came about - my husband has no idea about the Contemporary yet and he may kill me but hopefully he'll have mercy on me and realize I was trying to do something nice :-) I got a gift basket put together for him by MemoriesbyBetsy and that is one of his gifts under the christmast tree and his clue that we are going in Jan.

That is one heck of a gift!!!!
Good for you, I am sure you will have two wonderful trips! :thumbsup2
As for LeCellier, two words.......Mushroom Filet!!!!! YUM-O

:flower3: Hello!! hope everyone had a wonderful holiday .... i"m heading to Disney in 6 days!!!

Have a wonderful trip Ana! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great christmas. Mine was very busy, as I had hosting duties this year. Kellie got a Wii from Santa...she's been playing it non-stop for almost a week now. :lmao:

T&B so did you survive your first semester of college, how did you do???

So does anyone have any big plans for NYE, my husband has to work...so it will just be me and Kellie, and I'm sure she'll be in bed way before midnight.

Shawn wants to go back to WDW in April, but Kellie will be having MCAS testing in April....so I'm thinking maybe the end of May we might be heading back down. He fell in love with the whole exchange our timeshare for a DVC unit and we have enough points on our credit cards to pay for 3 round trip tickets, so this trip may actually be a possibility! :yay:

We are just doing our usual NYE at home, just DH, DS's, and I. I'll probably cook something nice and watch a movie. Pretty exciting huh??

Hey did anyone notice, I finally got a pic on my avatar? I know its kinda small, but I don't know how to get my pics on a thread.

Yep, I survived the semester of school. :yay: After dropping Spanish, I had 3 classes. Not sure of the grade in one of them, but I got A's in the other 2 classes. I suspect a B in the 3rd class, but it might be an A. :woohoo:

I'm going to go see a friend for New Years. :dance3: I think we're just hanging out at her place and a couple people are coming over.

We had a good evening at home. I did maine lobster, lobster ravioli with a butter white wine sauce and a lobster bisque. I got a huge deal on lobsters so I use them all at once. Christmas was great everyone was happy and recieved alot of stuff for our Disney cruise in May.

Hey when I think Lobsta (the correct pronunciation).......I think Arizona. But that dinner sounds great to me!

Well, it is easier to get lobsters than Ipswich clams neck and all here in the sunshine state. ( It gets down to mid forties in the morning, I'm gonna have to see if I have any sweaters to wear :rotfl2: ) You forget both my parents are from Boston, so I'll match your New England dinners to mine anyday Chickiepoo.

I don't want to go up against you....I just would like someone else to cook for a change!!! :thumbsup2

BTW, what is the going rate for Maine lobsters there?

I can only imagine what the price for Maine lobsters are in Arizona. My husband and I saw $3.99/lb locally yesterday, we both thought that was a pretty good price.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE! :woohoo:

Congrats on the grades T&B, that's awesome, keep up the good work!:thumbsup2

My daughter has a friend sleeping over tonight, so I can Dis in peace and quite for a while.....if she's in the same room while I'm on the computer, she's normally reading everything I write. :surfweb:

Have a good night everyone.

Happy New year to everyone. The thyroid thing has settled down and is no big deal now. Thanks goodness.

We were going to go to WDW for spring break with the discounts that came out but changed our minds. We are heading for Las Vegas. Never been there so it should be fun. We are staying at the MGM Grand.

BTW, do you all realize that we are coming up to TWO YEARS of this thread!!!!

That sounds like fun! MGM Grand huh, everyone I know that has gone has stayed at the cheapie places. But that should be really nice. Oh are you planning on doing the buffet at the Belligao? I saw it on a food show before and it look AMAZING! I am sure with a price tag to match.

Glad to hear the thyroid problem is under control.

Wow, and it feels like it was just yesterday I screwed it up for our team! :sad2:

Hey did ya notice I have a pic for my avatar? It was the only one that it would accept, don't know how those things work. Anyway, I am the blue one in the middle. :goodvibes
