I could use some insight from our experts who use the Touring Plans fax room request method.

I have an upcoming stay that I had to break into two separate reservations. The phone CM supposedly noted my request to remain in the same room (which, like all requests, I realize is just a request... but fingers crossed!)

I've never used the TP fax service before, and I thought I'd give it a try this time. I don't plan to make any additional requests or tweaks to the standard TP format - it's all straightforward except the "continuing reservation" part. Do you typically put this in the box provided for additional comments? Or is there a better way?

Thank you!

I wouldn't do anything else at all if you really want the continuing reservation to stay in the same room. Forget about a fax. Just leave it as the CM put it.

I agree with Deb & Bill. Let it be. The request is already on the reservation, sending a fax isn't going to increase your chance of getting it, and there's always the chance that something gets messed up when they go in to edit your reservation record.

Thank you both for responding. I appreciate it.

I'm afraid my question was less than clear. I want to make an actual room request (something along the lines of location, balcony, or view), and I want the request to be considered for both reservations.

I understand the pitfalls of making too many requests, prioritizing requests, etc.

I was just wondering if there is a recommended way to note in the TP fax that I do have this second reservation, please apply the same requests, and ideally, don't make me change rooms.

Clearly, if my DISboard posting skills are any indication, I need help in the clarity department! ;)

Disney doesn't consider that you have a continuing reservation, they see you have 2 separate reservations. I would just make sure the same requests are noted on both reservations.

By sending a fax, you will overwrite the earlier request. Decide which is more important, the request to stay in the same room or the requests for views, etc.

For the reasons Deb has stated, leave the only request be to stay in the same room.

Room requests should be narrowed down by priority, while its not guaranteed I cant see DIsney moving you out of that room, you can also make sure when you check in at the desk.
Did the DRC agent link your reservations bc they can do that too.

One quick question. What was the reason for splitting the reservation into two reservations?
