New to TP. I expected TP to put fop at end of night when optimizing since wait times are lower then. But it keeps putting fop at around the 4pm-ish time. Does that make sense? We are going at end of July so no fp yet, just playing around with it in case we are not fortunate enough to get the fp. Plan on starting to tour after our 1200 Y&Y reservation. That doesn’t seem right to me, but I’m no pro. What do the Disney experts think?

No. If you don't have a FP, you will want to get in line literally right before closing.

Are you planning to do ROL? If so that could be why it is not putting it at the end of the night.

That’s what I thought too. Not to sure about this TP.
TP plans are devised so that your TOTAL wait time is the least possible. therefore, some attractions may be at a time that doesn't make sense. with the plan you created you can move FOP into a step you feel is more convenient then hit EVALUATE. it will evaluate your specific plan. most likely the TOTAL wait time (located at bottom of plan) will be increased. also as JETSDAD said are you doing ROL. are you RDing.

No rd, no rol. Getting there at 12 for y&y ressie. Then hitting the park.

that time is possibly a lower wait time than other times of the day, but still longer than end of the day wait time. AND still over an hour normally.

I would just take the 4pm FOP and move it down to the last attraction (assuming you're staying to closing time) and compare the two plans as far as waiting in line is concerned. I do this all the time. playing around with the plan is fun

Is TP advising you to get a FP for FoP for 4pm? I think TP recommends specific rides to FP on each plan they devise.

No, tp is not advising me to get a fp for 4, it’s telling me to ride it standby then. I did move it to the last ride, and I’ll just see if we can get a Fp for it and rearrange from there. I was just surprised that tp didn’t put it last for the end of the night as the lines should be shorter then, at least shorter than at 4 pm.
Actually, it is fun playing around with tp. Today is my first day with it.

Weird. You might want to contact them and ask if something needs correcting on their end. I did that once. Feedback helps them to improve their product.

I really like TP and find them really helpful for our trips. I’ve found that it confuses the plans when you plan to do things after the parks official closing time though. In this case, getting in line for a ride with the plan to ride it after the park closes, might be confusing it.

It might be doing that if you have selected the “minimize walking” as well depending on what other attractions you are planning on going to.

End of July is pretty darn hot, and many leave the parks in the afternoon for pool and nap. It may not be such a crazy idea to get into FoP line then.

True. We’ve done that. Lots to explore on the TP site!

Can you post the URL to this touring plan? I'd like to see what it's got in mid-afternoon.

So I had been playing around with the plan and moved things around. I don’t know how to get back to the original plan. The url number might be 3552535 if that is the number after the last /.
Thanks!

That works - thanks!

The plan has two rides on Flight of Passage, in steps 9 and 12. Is two the right number of rides on FoP?
