Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks Amy. :hug:

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone!:goodvibes Sorry I haven't been around the past few days....Life has been busy and I've been sick too. :( It's that time of the year again....

I still have the stent. :( The doctor wants me to have an x-ray done on Monday to make sure that there are no fragments remaining that could cause a problem if the stent was removed. If the x-ray is clear, I'll have the stent removed on Tuesday. Please pray that NOTHING prevents this stent from coming out. I am so ready for it to be gone! :(

Tomorrow, we'll celebrate Thanksgiving at my grandma's house. Ohio State plays Michigan so hopefully, we'll be celebrating an OSU win as well. :cheer2:

On Sunday, we're going to chill out for a bit and I am having coffee with a friend. On Monday, I get x-rays and on Tuesday, I hope to have the stent removed.

Our trip is so close and yet, I haven't been focused on it at all. I hope that the stent comes out on Tuesday and then I can celebrate by getting into full Disney planning mode. :cool1:

My Christmas shopping is done, minus a gift for my nephew. :thumbsup2 I'm getting him a gift card so I can get that at anytime. I'm glad it's done. :santa:

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday....Have a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

Hey Tracy,

First of all, thank you for the pm, it was so much what I needed to hear today! I'll be sending you one back with some thoughts on our joint journey today or tomorrow! Your friendship means so much to me, where would I be without it?

I am praying "Wish Sis that stent gets removed on Tuesday, prayers are being said, you must be so extremely ready for this to be over!

I am so excited to hear details about your trip, I know you are staying at BC, give me some more details, inquiring minds want to know!

Thank you, Amy. :hug:

Woke up feeling rather yucky again today. :sick: I thought I was getting over this cold because I felt pretty good yesterday. I guess not. :( I'll be sure and take some medicine before we head out to my grandma's house today.

Some of our Disney plans are up in the air until I know what's going on with this stent. With the stent, I can't walk very far or stand for long periods of time without a lot of pain. That's why I am hoping and praying that NOTHING delays stent removal on Tuesday.

Today's Plan:
* Work for DH (DONE)
* Surveys ?
* Bank
* Sam's
* Walgreens
* Grandma's house
* Decorate inside of house
* Work on deals for tomorrow

Hope everyone has a great day! GO BUCKEYES!!!:cheer2:

Hi Tracy,

Sending you some good thoughts, hugs and prayers that you get that stent removed tomorrow.

I can only imagine your plans are up in the air which must just add to the frustration. Hope your cold is better and that you had a nice rest of the weekend.

Keep us posted and hang in there!:hug:

Tracy, I'm thinking about you today and hope the stent removal is happening.If you're feeling up to it, let us know how you are doing.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way!

Quick Post-

Stent removal did not happen today. Doctor called this morning and said that I have a fragment at the top of the stent and that he didn't feel comfortable removing the stent in the office in case the stone gets stuck.

Procedure is scheduled for tomorrow morning under anesthesia. Please pray that NOTHING delays removal and that everything goes smoothly.

I will try and update tomorrow....Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers!:grouphug:

Praying for you, Tracy! Hoping procedure is over by now and all is well. Let us know when you can! :hug:

Tracy, I am so hoping the procedure went as scheduled and that you are feeling better. You poor thing.:hug:

Just praying you doing well and on the road to recovery.

Thanks Julie and Amy!:grouphug:

I did have the procedure done yesterday and the stent is now HISTORY!!!!:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3: :cheer2: I can not even begin to tell you how much better I already feel. I did deal with a lot of post procedure nausea yesterday, but I am feeling much better today. :goodvibes Praise the Lord!!!:goodvibes Thank you all so much for your good thoughts and prayers. They mean so much to me!:grouphug:

Today is going to be a busy day...I've got lots of catching up to do on things plus a trip to get ready for. My to do list is sitting on my desk waiting to be check marked. ;)

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!:wizard: Thanks again for all of your good thoughts, prayers, support, encouragement, and love! I appreciate each and every one of you!:grouphug:

I'm so glad to hear that the stent is out and you are feeling better. :banana: Now you can really focus on your trip planning. ENJOY!!

Praise the Lord indeed!!! I have been so worried, afraid they didn't do it after all, I am just so happy and relieved for you! And your trip is in 10 days, yipee!!!!:banana:

Don't overdo today Missy!!!

Praise God! No more stent!

And, the WDW trip is almost here!

Don't over do it! It will all get done and soon you will be with Mickey!!

Thanks Lola, Amy, and Julie!:grouphug: I am feeling so much better already!:thumbsup2 I have been having some pain in in my kidney area, but the doctor said that's to be expected since the stent was in my body for so long. I guess things are trying to get back to normal in there!:goodvibes

I did overdo things a bit yesterday. :blush: I can't believe that I can walk and stand without pain!:banana: It is such an amazing feeling!:love: Thank you, Lord!!!:goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* Continue working on to do list (50% done)
* Cut and organize coupons
* Surveys (gotta earn Disney $$ for next year!)
* Work for DH
* Work on Disney list

Florida Plans:

Our plans have changed a bit since I last posted them. We were originally going to spend a few days in Daytona before heading to Orlando. That's not going to happen now. I forgot to budget the money for the Daytona part of the trip and since it's not there, we're not going. We may stop on our way down to see the beach, but we won't be staying overnight. So, we are actually leaving a couple of days later than previously planned.

Saturday (12/11): Leave for Florida
Sunday: Arrive at BCV
Monday: DHS?
Tuesday: ?
Wednesday: Epcot
Thursday: ?
Friday: Leave for Home :sad1:

As you can see, it's a very short trip this time around. That's why there's a question mark on 3 of the days. We may/may not go to DHS depending on how we feel and the other two days we have no plans yet. This is going to be more of a relaxing/plan for the new year ahead type of vacation and a very quick one at that. ;) I am looking forward to it though. :goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

Wow!!! :eek: I just noticed....This is my 10,000th post!:banana::cool1:

Tracy, I'm so glad the stent was finally removed and you're beginning to feel better! Try to take it easy on yourself for the next couple of days while the healing continues.

I'm so excited for you and your upcoming trip! I just love WDW at Christmas and also had the best time when we stayed at BCV. Did you rent points from a DVC owner or purchase a package?

If you are looking for something else to do while you are in Florida, you might want to consider a side trip to St. Augustine. We visited there a few years back and really enjoyed it. They have a tram system and you can purchase an all day pass which allows you to get off and on at the scheduled points of interest. Something to think about! Of course relaxing down time is great too! I know we've been doing a lot of that on our recent vacations and we'll be doing a lot more on the upcoming cruise.

Thanks for you PM! I'll be answering that shortly.

Enjoy your weekend!

Wow, 10,000 posts. You are a supper Dis-er :cool1:

I hope you are finding some time to enjoy the last few days before your vacation. I always love that sense an anticipation that comes right before a trip. I'm sure everything will get done and you will be on your way before you know it. Have a GREAT and RELAXING time.

Tracy,
I am happy all went well and you are in vacation mode- see all just a memory now.Enjoy your vacation and just relax, even though Disney is not usually a very relaxing vaca you can make it that way if you try.

Sounds good to me right about now!

Linda

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I was able to get a lot accomplished, but in a more relaxed manner. I'm still experiencing some pain, but once the little fragment goes, I should be good to go. :goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* Work for DH
* List a few things on Craigslist
* Walgreens
* Cleaning and organizing (with help from DDs and DH)
* Dollar Store?
* Finish wrapping Christmas gifts
* Get gift cards for trip

I want to get as much done this weekend as I possibly can. Every year, we run around like crazy right before we leave for our trip. I'd really rather not do that this year. It makes for a very stressful departure and for some grumpy people for awhile as well. ;)

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:

*********************************************

Denise- Thank you!:hug: I am feeling so much better...It's amazing!:thumbsup2 We are all looking forward to relaxing a lot on this trip. :goodvibes We are renting points at BCV this year. I can't wait to go!:banana:

Lola- Thank you!:hug: We are looking forward to a relaxing trip and making plans for 2011!:goodvibes

Linda- Thank you!:hug: Since we won't be there long, we are going to do our best to keep our schedule simple and hopefully get lots of relaxation in. :goodvibes I just saw on Accuweather that it is supposed to rain on the day we want to go to DHS. If that's the case, we may just skip DHS this year even though we would miss the Osbourne Lights.

Snow day today!:cold: I'm not sure how many inches of snow fell overnight, but it was a lot!:eek: I'm kind of glad for the snow day because we can work on our to do list and get some pre-trip cleaning done. :goodvibes I don't want to wait til the last minute like always. (Gotta keep repeating that to myself. ;) )

We had a good weekend. We got some things crossed off on the to do list, but we still have a ways to go.

I just checked Accuweather for Orlando's forecast next week....Highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. UGH! :( I was hoping for 80s/60s like we usually have while there. We may not even get a chance to use the pool. Bummer. :(

Today's Plan:
* Surveys?
* To Do List
* Wrap gifts
* Craigslist?
* Get chili in crockpot for dinner

Hope everyone has a great day! Stay warm!:goodvibes

Hope you are having a fun and cozy snow day! Sorry to hear about the lower than expected temps during your Disney trip. Temps in the 60s should make for some very enjoyable park touring weather. Maybe you could do some mini-golf instead of the pool. Or maybe check out DisneyQuest. I've never been to that but it sounds like fun if there is a very cold or rainy day. I'm sure you will have a great time!

Good luck on your to do list.
