Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Wow, Tracy! Your workouts are AWESOME!!! And congrats on the loss! You really are doing very well, especially given all the stupid stress you have to deal with!

Hope & pray the bank thing gets resolved satisfactorily & quickly. That's about the worst kind of stress.

Glad you are having a good time with the family. Sounds like the DSLites might be a real sanity saver for your FL trip driving marathon!

Have a WONDERFUL week!!

Thanks Julie. :hug:

Today is our first day back to homeschooling.:teacher: We're doing things a bit differently this year so I'm looking forward to seeing how everything works out.

Yesterday we went to Holcombs (teacher store) and I wanted one of everything! ::yes:: There are so many great teaching resources there.:thumbsup2 We ended up spending only $20, but I could have easily spent about $200+ there.

We've got a busy day ahead of us:

* Homeschooling
* SR
* Laundry
* BIL and Nephew's birthday party
* Work for DH
* Workout

Hope everyone has a great Monday!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy
I am so glad the reception went well and you are getting to spend time with your brother and DSIL. Sounds like more family time this week with the birthdays.

I'm not anywhere near a teacher, but I love to go into those stores. I used to pick stuff up for the kids preschool teachers and wow! what a store. Everything looked so neat. Way to go with the self control on not spending a lot. :thumbsup2

Looks like you do have a busy day ahead. Remember to take time to breath. :goodvibes

Thanks Lisa. :hug:

Our Disney documents arrived yesterday!:banana: So did the Nintendo DS games and the snacks from Minimus.biz that the girls will take on our trip. (That way, we don't have to stop at vending machines on the way down. ;) )

I'm not feeling all that well today. Besides homeschooling, the plan is to go out to lunch with my DH and then head to soccer and walk this evening. That's about it. My tummy is giving me troubles and I am pretty tired. Gonna try and keep it low key today.

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:

So glad your visit with your brother is going well!:goodvibes

I can't believe school is starting up, where did summer go?

Hope you feel better, don't overdo!

Your workouts are awesome, I am so impressed!

Tracy
I hope you are feeling better this evening. :hug:

.......:woohoo: on the Disney documents :woohoo: it's getting closer.....

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Woke up with a headache again this morning. :( I decided to try and take it easy for a bit and have some green tea. It seems to be going away.

My brother and SIL are heading back to Kansas today. It was great to see them and spend time with them. :goodvibes I'm not sure when we'll see them again because my DBro used almost all of his vacation time on this trip. Maybe next summer....

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling
* Workout
* Shopping
* Clean the girls' dressers out

I need to sit down at some point in the next few days and figure out our schedule for the next month. It's going to be hectic so I need to figure some things out in advance.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

way to go on the weight loss Tracy - keep up the great workouts :)
i'm glad you had a good time with DB & DSIL, it makes me appreciate having all my family so close!
Hope the headachy thing goes away :hug:

Thanks Tracey. :hug:

Yesterday was a good day except for the girls trying to annoy each and mom all day. :rolleyes: I hope they choose to have better attitudes today. ;)

Today's Plan:
* School
* Shopping
* SR
* Soccer

We plan on going to a flea market and a thrift store today to find some clothes for both DDs. Also, the flea market we go to has amazing prices on produce so we may stock up on some healthy food as well.

One month from today, we'll be arriving in WDW!:banana: I can't wait!:banana:

Have a great day everyone!:grouphug:

Doing the 30 day dance!!!:banana::banana:

Unfortunately, the 30 day dance doesn't seem to burn as many calories as it used to. :( I showed a 1.2 pound gain on the scale this morning despite working out and good food choices this week. Very frustrating!:mad:

We found 6 shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for the girls at the thrift store yesterday for $9. I'm hoping to find bathing suits on clearance somewhere so they have more than one for our trip to Florida.

Today's Plan:

* School
* SR
* Family Fun Night (DD8's turn!)
* Workout

I honestly don't get this weight thing. :confused:I've been making much better food choices and working out on a daily basis. Granted, the workouts aren't super heavy or super long, but I am sweating and getting some movement in. So, why is the scale showing a gain?:confused3 It doesn't make any sense. I did not want to go to WDW this year at the same weight as I was last year, but it appears that will be the case. This journey can be so frustrating at times!:guilty:

Today, I need to start making a list of things we need for WDW. I also need to get my to do list in place so I don't forget anything. With soccer and my DH's work schedule, I think the next 4 weeks will fly right on by.....(At least I hope they do!:thumbsup2 )

Have a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

Tracy,
School already yuck! Summer just started here.The weather had been so lousy.We have 3 more weeks and that does not seem possible already.

The weight issue is such a pain isn't it? I remember when I never had to think about it. Now it is all I think about, a diet every other week- well eating right anyway but then I go right back to the old habits.

Keep up the good work they say if you stick with it the weight will come off- sticking with it is the problem.

Linda

Thanks Linda. :hug:

Today has been a productive/non-productive kind of day. That made sense, huh? :laughing:

It's been productive because I bought my DD8 a bathing suit for $4 at Kohls, I got my survey Trifecta in at SR, and I've started my to do list for Florida. It's been non-productive because I haven't done anything else. :lmao: I do need to get started on cleaning the house so we'll start in DD7's room after dinner this evening.

Not sure what's on the schedule for tomorrow. We may go see a movie or head to the mall. Definitely want to stay cool! It's 90+ this weekend!:scared:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy
So glad you enjoyed the visit with your brother and DSIL. I love it when my oldest brother comes to visit. We always have a great time.
Excellant shopping my friend. :thumbsup2 I love the clearance racks. We don't have very good thrift stores here. Use to be a great one on the coast, but Katrina closed it up.

Way to go on the surveys. I keep trying but...:confused3

What DS games are you going to get for your DD's? My DD wants one, but I'm not sure what games to start her with.

Hope you have a great weekend. Keep trying and you'll make it. You really will.

Thanks Lisa. :hug: The DS games that I got for my girls so far are Nintendogs Labrador Retriever, Brain Age 2, Kim Possible, Club Penguin, and Garfield.

We have a very busy week ahead. I'm tired just thinking about it! ;) Work, babysitting, soccer practices, soccer games, birthday parties, haircuts, and homeschooling. Not to mention cleaning, laundry, workouts, work for DH, and SR. :faint:

My DH took my DD8 out for breakfast this morning. He took DD7 out for breakfast on Friday so it was DD8's turn today. He'll probably bring home McDonalds for us.

I'm still working on my to do list for Florida. I'd like to work on our pre-Florida schedules as well, but the entire soccer schedule hasn't been posted yet, nor has my DH's schedule at the mill. Hopefully sooner than later. ;)

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Homeschooling Notifications and Assessments (Send via certified mail)
* Spend 15 minutes helping DD7 clean her room (She works more efficiently when she only has to work a short period of time. ;) )
* Pay a bill
* SR
* Workout

I will also have to do some paperwork for my DH when he gets home this evening. Hopefully by then, everything else will be taken care of and I can just focus on that.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!:hug:

Wish all of this working out equaled a big weight loss. :( I guess I should look at the bright side...Only 26 more days to go in this 60 day workout challenge!:woohoo:

We're having one of those weeks (work issues) and it's only Tuesday. :( My DH and I are both pretty stressed out at the moment. It's kind of hard when it affects both of us...Usually, one of us can help the other one through, but we're both kind of limping along....

Taking a moment to look at the positives:

* We're leaving for WDW in 25 days!:banana:
* One of my Trouble Tickets posted for SR yesterday. That was a $3.88 jump in my account. :banana:
* My DH has work and quite a bit at the moment.:banana:
* We're easing back into our homeschooling routine. :banana:
* We're healthy.....tired, but healthy. :banana:

Plan for the evening:

* Work for DH
* Take DD7 to practice
* Drop my MIL's car off at her house
* Dinner/Movie
* Work for DH when he gets home or tomorrow morning

That's about all from here...Hope everyone has a great evening!:grouphug: If anyone has any extra :wizard::wizard: to spare, we sure would appreciate it!:flower3:

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

WOW Tracy! You certainly have been busy. Your workout schedule makes me tired. Day 21! oh my goodness. You were certainly going that day. :thumbsup2 I can see why you are frustrated though. Don't worry, you'll make it and see some results. I just know you will.

Thanks for the list of DS games. You mentioned a couple that I didn't even know were available. Thanks!

I hope you all have a better evening and the stress doesn't intrude. You certainly have a busy evening planned. I hope you can get to bed before midnight. :hug:

PS - I love your positives list.

Thanks Lisa.:hug:

I am still feeling majorly stressed.:guilty: My poor DH is having issues on the job site this evening and it looks like it will be another late evening for him. :( He only has one more site to do tomorrow and he will be done. We still haven't gotten the paperwork out yet. He just hasn't had time to sit down with me and go over everything. We'll probably get it done first thing tomorrow morning.

I think we will all breathe a sigh of relief on Thursday. The extra jobs will be done and the paperwork and photos will be sent in. My DH does have a couple of small jobs Thursday morning, but he has the afternoon free (girls and I are getting haircuts) and he'll probably try and catch up on his sleep.

I seriously need to get to the grocery store. Maybe tomorrow or maybe Thursday.

Gonna watch the news, call DH to check on his progress, and if he is not going to be home anytime soon, I'm heading to bed.

Have a great evening!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy
I hope today was better for you. Stress is not good,:sad2: but you know that.
Did your DH get done with his jobs? I always think extra work is nice, but am always glad when it is finished. Good luck on getting everything done, then you can concentrate on the important stuff......like Disney! 24 more days!:banana:

Hey Tracy,

I can't believe your trip is in 24 days! :cool1: You must be so excited So glad you found some nice things for the girls so cheap. Love those end of summer sales.

I hear you on the weight thing. Each trip to Disney I think to myself "next trip I'll be thin and healthy". I think its important to set goalsl, but we put a lot of pressure on ourselves. Your weight loss will catch up to your workouts. Who knows, it could be new muscle or water. But I know that if you keep this up (and I know you will, only 26 more days to go!), the scale will show something for your hard work.

I hope your stress and your dh's lessens today. You have a lot going on. I so wish we lived close by and could go for coffee and a real chat! I think we both could use it.:hug:
